Biography

"No matter how long it takes me, I will find my place in Sornieth."

On her hatch day, Wisp was stolen away in the night by Omen. Drowsy and bleary-eyed, she didn't realize what was happening, and nestled herself into Omen's feathers to return to sleep.

Once she awoke, finding herself without the company of her nestmates - most devastatingly, her brother Asher - she was nearly inconsolable with fear and panic.

It was Contrail who finally was able to soothe her enough to listen to their reasoning. Omen put Yusei's barely-concealed sneers into into context for Wisp (with, really, minimal exaggeration), pleading with her to understand why the coatls of the clan would never accept her for who she was.

Contrail helped her craft her headdress and wing plumage from Death Seeker feathers, although the starsilks were additions of her own desire. She told Omen, with her ever-prevalent frown, that they helped distract from her white wings - and while they do, the color also reminds her so vividly of her estranged brother.

She'll meet him again one day. He never sneered at her. And she misses him quite greatly.
