Snake's name: Sunny
Joy is the result of the rather scandalous union between Eagleheart and Redstone. Many dragons suspected Redstone did not truly wish to be Wolfgang's mate and was forced into the relationship. They never asked her out of fear of Wolfgang and because she just never said anything.
This affair essentially sold their minds on what they suspected.
For many days no one knew who Joy's mother was and some figured it was a dragon who left Eagleheart their daughter on the border for him to find. Finally Redstone came up and admitted that Joy was indeed hers and the clan took it in varying degrees of indifference and absolute shock.
Wolfgang was furious and demanded that both Eagleheart and his 'spawn' be banished but Sodansa and a few other dragons kept him at bay from hurting anyone. Joy was still very young when all this happened but to this day she remembers her father's warning to avoid a dark ridgeback with unkind eyes and a grudge against them.
Joy is a very sweet dragon and forgives her parents for what they did. She understands that in the eyes of some dragons she has to work twice as hard to prove her worth and for a dragon like Wolfgang she needs to avoid him all together. The young pearlcatcher gets on well with her dad and half-sister and is making slow progress with her half-brother. The relationship with her mother is less than formal and while they chat occasionally they do not really bond.
