Amber Lawyer is a clown with a simple shtick - his act takes place in the fantastical realm of the courtroom. Plaintiffs are pied, and judges are jocular - Amber Lawyer makes his case well known to attendants of the court through the use of questionably appropriate song and dance in which, by the end of it, someone is inevitably drenched in some substance or another. His act takes him across the many traveling circuits of Sornieth, and while the act (and his fame) is niche, dedicated fans are often found trailing the clown to his every performance. Some clans even request his presence to settle actual, real disputes when a bit of humor is needed.
Does he have any actual legal training? If all of the fancy books in his camper are any suggestion, yes, or he is at the very least a good learner...I mean, the jokes that he makes are pretty intelligently linked with actual legal practice. It might surprise you, but no one has exactly checked Amber's credentials.

We aren't sure how he found us or how he knew exactly where we would have set him up to perform, but somehow he did and was set up before anyone knew what was happening. Though the clown was already packing up to leave, we offered him a room and meal in return for his performance. He took our offer and decided to stay for an indeterminate length of time.

To anyone, this would seem as if the town was abandoned or long forgotten, however, behind the scenes there was massive planning at stake. It was his time to shine! He would also perform with the fellow shadow dragons to appease their shadow mama! Just as quickly as he began to smile it soon faded as he learned he had missed the signup sheet deadline. There were no laws that could help out with this one... So after watching a few performances he was off to the next town.

Though he seems a simple traveler, it is our way to welcome all, and a Tundra such as he is treated with particular respect, as kin to our Lord, Amaterasu-no-Mikado.

I know I definitely saw Kestis about ready to bite his head off or die trying, which was a rare occurrence to say the least. He had a genuine love for performing though, that I could tell easily. Still, despite his oddities, apparently he managed to win Kestis over in the end, because before I knew it, they had a nest of eggs together. I have been meaning to ask Kestis about that, actually... Anyway, I'm not sure what happened after that. Amber seemed to leave in a hurry, and Kestis wasn't too far behind him. Maybe I should look into that...

It was a beautiful day in Astrophel on May 11th, all was calm and rather peaceful- gods know we needed that. I, a fool, thought this would come without repercussions but of course something came and disturbed that peace. That something has taken the name “Amber Lawyer” I’m not exactly sure if Lawyer is a title or apart of the poor fellows name.
I thought nothing of it when I first saw him enter this town, many have before after all. Though, as mandatory I invited him over to my personal den to read his fate- as one does when faced with an unfamiliar dragon. I pride myself as a Prophet, especially one of doom- that way I can lead those I care about to safety or at least warn the poor fellow of their unfortunate demise. Up until Lawyer I thought everyone would find themselves with a sad fate or at least a few hiccups in their path; but he was different.
You see, his fate was entirely good! I couldn’t see a single path that would lead him to doom.... some say this is normal but I know better- there is no way that this is any normal dragon.
After leaving my watchful eyes, he had set up a miniature Circus! The townspeople loved it and even Caramel felt safe enough to bring the hatchlings to see the show- I didn’t stay in watch- I refuse to fall for this dragon and his trickery!
I was so desperate for answers about this Dragon that I even asked Atlas about it! Maybe his little star cult and their shade would have some kind of answer. But alas- nothing. Honestly, I find this ‘Amber Lawyer’ to be more terrifying then the Day of Calamity... but perhaps that is just me, I tend to worry to much.
Update- May.16.2021: On his final day, three random hatchlings appeared- no one knows were in stars name they came from but they were already named which I found odd. Only one seemed to pick up his profession at least, the other two left shortly after appearing hopefully they find a good Lair.
Afterwards in the later afternoon Amber started to pack his things with a sad look in his eye and I only know this because I allowed him to stay with me. At first I convinced myself it was because he was some kind of monstrosity who was pretending to be a dragon and I needed to watch over him. But I was wrong. Amber isn’t like that at all... I expected myself to be happy when he finally Left Astrophel but instead I am filled with a bitter sadness. It seems as though he has bewitched me with a certain softness which I cannot shake.
Perhaps I can convince him to stay...
