Biography
If one spots Aella in the streets, they’ll find she walks with her head held low. She keeps quiet, shouldering harsh whispers and sharp glares as she passes. The Pearlcatcher holds deep guilt and regret, and those in Seabreeze know it.

She is the personal healer of the Emperor of Seabreeze, treating the ailments and injuries they might come down with and providing advice should they ask for it. She took care of Emperor Segretario up to his death, and now cares for Emperor Kazato much to the displeasure of Seabreeze’s citizens.

Of the many rumors surrounding Emperor Segretario’s fall, the most prevalent is that it’s Aella’s fault that he became shadetouched. She is a healer, and one that would be closest to the Emperor most of the time. It also doesn’t help that she was the closest advisor in his council. The rumors have gotten to the point where many believe that she herself is shadetouched.

As a result of these rumors, Aella has what amounts to a zero percent approval rating, and no support for her maintaining her position.

Curiously, Aella makes no effort to defend herself from these accusations. She holds deep regret that she didn’t see the signs of Segretario’s affliction, and that she couldn’t prevent his death. As such, she distances herself from others, only leaving the palace at night when she needs to and never making conversation outside her duties.

Stormwing serves as Aella’s companion and guard animal. He is a very playful creature, yet also a very dangerous guard. He is quite docile to those he trusts, and can often be seen playing with Kazato’s Phytocats.
