[] They say he was hatched in the center of a volcano. An egg from the land of death and waste brought to the magma of the Flamecaller's domain. A hatchling dark like lava rocks and scared with veins of magma.

They named him Malacath, they said he was driven by a force outside his control, by winds and stones and waves created long before him. A prophecy of a dragon of plague and fire.
They took away his pearl, they said it wasn't needed. A piece of himself he needed, and they stole it from him.
And he roared. A hatchling just born and crying for its one source of comfort roared. And the pearl erupted in flames.
It was painless at first, no one felt anything bad about the flames, and then they felt smoke in their blood and fire clawing at their bones. They burned from the inside out, a sickness made of plague and fire carving through their bodies.

He remembers his name well, Malacath, one meant to protect the outcasts, and now, one who cast away his destiny. He never speaks to anyone, other then a few short harsh words to hatchlings who try and take his pearl. Sometimes warriors and claim to hear his roar in the thick of battle, they find corpses with smoke coming from their mouths.
Some still live at first, they talk about how it was painless, at first.
