 "A composition is always more than the sum of its parts. In other words, a really good piece of music is more than itself. It's sort of like a prism, which you can see from each facet a single totality." Cantando was born with a defective body, and needed many surgeries to help him become able to actually function on his own. A mix of magic, science, and crafting has given him a body that he can use. His parents, however, were unable to fully help him in every way he needed, so he was sent to live at Chaotic Daydreams. Here, the little veilspun undergoes many treatments to keep his unusual form functioning. While sometimes he can be sad that he is not like others, Cantando does take complete joy in two things: his new family, and music.

Without even thinking, Cantando will find himself coming up with new, complicated compositions and singing them to those who need a pick-me-up in their fights with their various issues.
The little dragon seems drawn to those who can benefit from his melodies and loves seeing their faces transform into wonder at his songs. Many dragons from other lairs have come to hear the beautiful music that the little dragon so easily sings. Some of the more musically-inclined in the lair have received permission to make his compositions into entire concerts that are performed to raise funds for whatever is needed to help support Chaotic Daydreams. Cantando is just happy to know that his talent is enjoyed by so many.
