Paradei became so fixated on Icywave and Wintersea (whose coloring, she thinks, her own resembles) that they made her part of their fighting team to put her knack for mimicry to good use. They always position her in the center of their fighting trio so that she has one of them on each side to keep her mimicry focused on imitating their attacks on their opponents. Although she doesn't particularly like the cold, she arranged for her own winter snowflake blizzard so that she fit in even better with Icywave and Wintersea.

Intrigued by how each closely resembles the other, Paradei and Abyss soon fell for each other, and can often be found expressing affection by mirroring each other, wing-flirt for wing-flirt and nuzzle for nuzzle. Their matings, however, have been less successful. In their first mating, for example, they produced one egg, largely by inadvertently witnessing the coupling of fellow clan members Ilhuicato and Tyriei, and then mimicking it. Ilhuicato and Tyriei were so startled by these newcomers' response to them that they left the clan to go serve the Tidelord. Neither Paradei nor Abyss have been good parents so far, there being little scope for imitation in the act of sitting a nest. In fact, their first hatchling wandered off in mimicry of some passing shrimp, and became lost to the clan before she even gained a name.
