Mordekai

Mordekai was once a great researcher from the Solace, dabbling in methods via brewing potions from many organic matter. He was a brilliant mind who, more often than not, was able to think of a new brew that could serve a multitude of purposes - from minor stomach aches to even ones that could enhance the body and mind in combat.

Eventually, he became so assured in his potions and ability to contain even the most unstable matter, that he sought out to contain other elements that would otherwise be almost impossible to keep contained; raw forms of nature and elementals, the brew of the Wyrmwound itself and even the most corrosive of other elements. Eventually, his desire for even more led him to the project of containing a small sample of the Shade itself.

His aspirations and desire for this eventually led to his own downfall and disfigurement. As proud a potion maker as he was, he could not contain the violent and volatile Shade. The bottle exploded on him, unable to withstand the very essence inside of it. The dark magic of the Shade corrupted his body and, some assume, his mind. Unable to face what he had become and unable to listen to the whispers that now plagued him, he fled. Now, the potion master has found his new solace and home amongst Lawfer and his many other lost lambs.
