Biography

Theme Lawfer could be considered the impromptu 'leader' of the shade cultists. Though shadetouched, the imperial maintains much of his original character and control. He is inquisitive, quiet, and scholarly. He makes learned decisions with a cool head and calm, whimsical tones of voice. This is a perfect opposite to the impulsive antics of his long-time companion, Ollie, whom he is often seen reigning in or giving gentle commands to.

Lawfer's true intentions lie in the study of the Shade, a pursuit he had followed long before actually becoming corrupted. How far It's sentience and intelligence extends and what drives It are key interests to his study... Thus, he speaks quietly and urges others to do so around him presumably so he can hear and decipher It's whispers, giving him a meditative demeanor. He can often be found writing anything he can understand down using a pen that seems to flow limitlessly with a black substance that might not be ink. It is advised to never touch his research papers even long after this 'ink' has dried, as touching said ink makes the whispers Lawfer so treasures audible even to others, and can drive you mad.

It seems that the shade has corrupted this imperial's fingers specifically, as the very ends of them (and his claws in his dragon form) are stained an abyssal black. Anything he touches can thus be temporarily imbued with shade properties, like a poison applied to a blade. He's often seen grabbing his fingers with his other hand and squeezing them while thinking, as if they are aching.

He seems to know a lot about the tower Gypsum resides in - actually, almost too much, such as the layout of it's basement and a few secret passages even clanmembers who live there aren't aware of.
