If you go walking in the most ancient forest in the Tangled Wood, you should know you are likely being watched. There are many prevailing theories on the precise identity of the creature watching you, though. Some say he’s a spirit, connected to the life of the trees themselves, an ancient guardian with a duty to preserve his forest home. Others claim he’s a dangerous creature, half-dragon, half-beast, that stalks through the forest, taking the life of any unsuspecting dragon that enters his domain. Still others swear that he’s just an eccentric, tree-obsessed Gaoler who hasn’t spoken to another dragon in years, but that if you listen carefully, you might hear him talking to the trees.

RedWood himself enjoys each of these theories equally, and finds that they’re excellent ideas for the novel he’s writing. Perhaps when it’s finally finished, he’ll read it to the trees, but then again, perhaps not. They’re awfully critical, after all.
