Calana grew up in a nature clan; A surprisingly intense one, considering the flight's reputation. It was a world of constant work, constant fighting. She thrived in that environment, in contrast to her adopted brother, Bernstrong. He was just beaten down by it, and he soon lost the ability to fly to one of the worse bullies. That's what finally convinced her to want to leave.

It's a good thing that, soon after, Ripp and Annabelle went walking into their territory. They were on one of their first journeys outside of the Starfall Isles, and they hadn't truly become a clan yet- just a duo walking through Sornieth. The nature-flight duo split from their clan to join the now-Tribe, and they both soon got used to their new family. Calana's affinity for leadership led her to become the general of the tribe.
