Ajan owns and operates a unicorn ranch in Cypress Hall known as Glittering Twilight Ranch. Concerned about the rising rates that cerdae are appearing in wild and even some domestic herds Ajan has tried to breed more magic back into unicorns.

He seemingly did it a a bit too good. Between his draconic magic, some druidic magic from other farm hands around the Tangle and the general unstable magic inside unicorns Ajan created a new subspecies of unicorns with very potent magic. Reminding him of the mischievous baku that could sometimes be seen on the edges of the Hall Ajan named his new breed of unicorns after them for their mischievous natures and penchants for trouble; Bakubicorn. While originating from Glittering Twilight Ajan isn’t against breeding his new unicorns with other unicorn herds to spread their magic around and possibly help slow or stop the rise of cerdae births among unicorn populations.

Ajan himself tries his best to act like how you’d expect someone who raises unicorns to act; soft spoken, calm, and a bit shy. He can keep up the facade of that around strangers but Ajan is anything but. Ajan is loud, easily frazzled, and can often be seen in many states of manic as he’s hunting down his useless new species of unicorn. As Bakubicorns have so much magic they can just undo the locks of their own paddocks they often just go wherever they please and Ajan is running after them to put them back into their pens before they eat all of Spayar’s crops or scare all of Tassa’s animals and gets him a talking to. He really hates getting talking tos so he tries to keep on top of it. But his unicorns often have other ideas and want to eat the fine druid made produce in the gardens and farms in the Tangle.

Bakubicorns

An odd subspecies of unicorns originating from the Glittering Twilight ranch. They are clearly differentiated by their billowing smoky manes, fangs and the two horns which they derive their name. Bakubicorns typically have overly mischievous personalities and a strong affinity to trickster magic. This makes them difficult to keep as they can unlock their own stables and paddocks.

Canelé- The Herd's Matriarch wrote:
An odd filly Ajan picked up from a... less than reputable source. But he took one look at her and knew he had to have her. She has odd magic for a unicorn, not quite like that of other unicorns or a cerdae. She's got magic almost like a baku and often times Ajan shows up at her stable and its just FULL of mist.
Meringue- Herd Princess wrote:
A semi accidental coupling of Pizzelle and Canelé. He did plan to wait for Pizzelle to be a bit older, maybe breed Canelé with Florentine but the unicorns had other ideas. Meringue is a feisty young filly who causes Ajan so much grief. Always trying to get out of her paddock or destroying a hedge fence or even bullying some of the other unicorns. Ajan's not sure it isn't because of Canelé's strange mutations that missed her and passed a wildness to Meringue instead. Ajan's just hopeful she'll grow out of it.
Baked Alaska- The Oddity wrote:
Alaska's father is a very strange unicorn like none Ajan had ever seen before, resembling almost an elk or a reindeer with a multipronged horn. Not wanting to risk breeding with one of his pure Bakubicorns he managed to get a stud with her father and another of his unicorns. He was very surprised she came out a Bakubicorn, looking more like her grandmother and greatgrandmother than her own dame. She's a very quiet unicorn, keeps to herself with Macaron. Of all the Bakubicorns causes the least amount of mischief.
Macaron- Stoic Wall wrote:
Despite his whimsical appearance Macaron is actually a very stoic unicorn. He rarely shows off and gets easily annoyed with locked gates and paddocks. His magic isn't the best of the herd and he tends to not interact often with other members of the extended herd other than Baked Alaska.
Pizzelle- Herd Prince wrote:
Florentine's first colt. Ajan was very excited to breed Florentine with Verdant of Risen Wolf's herd and got his mother's mane. He's Ajan's little prince and very much a little snob. Ajan has plans for breeding in the future.

Wetland Unicorn

The long legs of this unicorn allow it to walk along the bottom of shallow swamp beds, enabling it to easily graze on the aquatic plantlife.

Flora Cerdae

As calm and majestic as cerdae look, they must routinely spar to wear down their horns, which grow at an alarmingly fast rate.

House as far away from Ashscale Ophiotaurus as possible, or this may be your last cerdae.

Mossy Cerdae

Unicorns have always produced Cerdae, unicorns without healing abilities. Recently the birth rate of cerdae has skyrocketed, leaving some dragons to wonder if unicorns are dying out.

Dwarf [Black] Unicorn

Slight and sleek, this unicorn possesses all of the charm, but less than half the magic and size of a true unicorn.

This dwarf unicorn has lost its magic. Its once shining coat is dull and blackened. The horns of black unicorns are worthless.

Rainbow Daydream + Rambra

Not all daydreams are pleasant.

Native to tropical wetlands, Rambras are known to charge headfirst into overwhelming odds.
Cronut wrote:
While most herders use Hainu or Ramba to watch over their herd Ajan tried to use Carrioncorns to offer protection to his unicorns without making them anxious or stressed out the way Hainu or Ramba can. Hainu because of their energy and Ramba for their aggression. As Rainbow Daydreams are just a Plague extreme version of a typical unicorn they fit right in with the rest of the herd. Ajan is very pleased with the coloration on Cronut and is investigating ways to bring out the shine and luster on their coat. It worked for a while before the herd grew too large for Cronut to guard by herself.

Spiral Capricat + Ferberus

A spiral capricat is an unusual mutation that doesn't pass down through breeding.

Crossing paths with a ferberus is considered to be extremely unlucky. Fiona has twelve, of course.
Titan wrote:
Ajan has never remotely raised anything even resembling a kitten before. How did he teach it to act like a cat? His answer was obvious: buy an older cat to teach the younger cat how to cat. That led him to finding the posting about weird Capricat breeding. Well it was a cat, and far more easy to get ahold of than another ferberus. So he put in a bid for a kitten and a while later... he got this... thing. Luckily Titan came to Ajan knowing how to cat and he's already teaching little Sock how to cat. Ajan doesn't know how he keeps getting these weird familiars.
Sock wrote:
While going out to see his unicorns Ajan found them circled around something on the grass. When he investigated he found they'd surrounded a tiny ferberus kitten. Ajan has no idea how his unicorns found a ferberus kitten or where it even came from as his farm is pretty far from the Portal. But he wasn't going to ask too many questions. He took the poor thing home and cared for it, naming it sock; after its one white foot.
