| xx | In his mortal life, Cinna was a gentle, graceful dragon who danced before crowds and put on performances for the enjoyment of others. He danced for his own enjoyment as well, loving the way his dancing silks draped over his scales and the breeze tumbled between his wings and claws. He found his true calling, however, in healing and helping those in pain, specifically in their minds. Mind-healers were few and far between at the time, and it was a mostly unexplored subject with many unknowns. Cinna helped his patients as best he could, talking and spending time with them and sometimes even dancing for them. |
| xx | Attaining godhood was rather unexpected for the soft-spoken Skydancer, who'd done nothing out of selfishness. He simply wanted to help others, and for that reason the gods saw fit to raise him to the Heavens. Upon experimenting with his new abilities, Cinna learned he could now visit mortal dragons' dreams. Exhilarated, he began to use this ability to visit some of his old patients as they slept, helping heal their minds in this way. When it proved successful, Cinna took it upon himself to visit hurting dragons every night, speaking with them through their dreams, providing companionship, and encouraging them to think positively and better themselves. His abilities caught the attention of Icarus, who quickly sweet-talked his way into Cinna's good graces. |

Using the gentle god's good nature against him, Icarus slowly twisted Cinna into something much darker and more sinister. With a lot of persuasion and reassurances, Cinna began to leave nightmares in the minds of Icarus' enemies. Things only devolved from there, to the point where Cinna learned how he could break a dragon's mind a dozen different ways while they slumbered on, unaware. When Icarus lost his godhood, Cinna was quickly cast out as well. With nowhere else to go and no one to turn to, Cinna found his way back to Icarus' side in the mortal realm, and the greedy hatchling extracted an oath of loyalty from the Skydancer, ensuring Cinna's abilities would be used at his own whim. |
