The world also changes. The fates of thousands, millions of people all twist and turn under the will of kings and emperors and gods. And I haven’t even lived that long.” “I’ve seen vast tracts of vacant and forested land alike slowly turning into fields, villages, and then towns. Brick houses started popping up next to stilt houses. New faces came in and out of the villages.” “I’ve caught myself flying after those soldiers to a place called the Peony Town, simply because I’ve grown bored with the village people. More importantly, I was wondering if those strange foods and wines they always ate gave their blood a unique taste.” “I’ve found myself becoming curious about those scaled, clawed people, thinking that they couldn’t have been that different from me. H I S T O R Y Our Society is no stranger to hybrid dragons nowadays, but it was a different story then. It was intuitive to never mingle with other yêu-type creatures, as dealing with outsiders was already troublesome enough. It took us quite a while to discover that demons exist. They are rare, but they exist. Giáng Hân was actually among the first we’ve accepted, and her arrival was met with no short of protest. Torchlight Camp disciples still whisper the tale of that day, when a beautiful yet sinister-looking vampire walked into the Southern Barracks, sat in front of General Flamewing, and demanded to be taken in. In the end, I supposed there was no good reason to accept such a figure into the Sect other than sheer curiosity and a bit of reverence. It seems that her draconic features stemmed from consuming large amounts of dragon blood. Not only does this information tell us that there were many undocumented dragons during her wandering times, but it also makes us wonder if dragon blood is that addictive. If it is that hard to let go of, then theoretically there must be many dragon-born vampires running around. But that depends on how many actual vampires there are. I, personally, am concerned about the number of dragons and creatures she possibly has killed, fed from, or otherwise. The thought of having to interact with her makes me shiver. At first, it seemed that taking in Giáng Hân was a dangerous decision. She lives solely on blood, with a particular affinity to dragon blood. However, she quickly found herself a solution. Her speed, quick thinking, and efficiency in combat make her a valuable addition to the Torchlight Camp. She’s also described as charming and astute in the way she interacts with others, something many may find surprising but ultimately understandable. After all, some intermingling was definitely useful if she had to find dragons to feed on. We, as Celestian Hall members, have officially decided that we won’t hold any animosity towards lady Giáng Hân and her history. Her existence also draws in other hybrid dragons, many of whom are part of her own group called the Demonesses of Huyền Nghi. It is still unclear what the purpose of this group is, other than for like-minded members to hang out. It is also unclear where her loyalty lies, although that is a whole other matter. |

____Giáng Hân is always seen carrying her smoking pipe. The pipe is hollow and can be loaded with darts called Bloodspikes, needles, or poisonous herbs during combat or missions.
