Starrune serves as Clan Ahtohallan's primary magic researcher, aside from Amiryth. Whereas Amiryth dictates the clan's movements, work, and responsibilities, Starrune leads the actual studying amongst the clan. She assists young dragons in learning how to study magic properly, and has made a majority of the clan's public discoveries.

Of the Council members, Starrune is the only one who holds any real respect and loyalty toward the Arcanist. The clan as a whole does not adhere to flight loyalty due to the cult-like nature of the system, but Starrune holds the Arcanist in high regard and hopes to one day earn his favor through her magical discoveries.
