Biography

Lore bits - Fyra

  • Director of Admissions for Midwayers--meaning Midwayers entering the university in preparation for Voyagehood. This means she also screens Midwayers who are born into the clan for proper qualification to move to the next stage of their journey.
  • Like most officers, actually graduated from the Tiandi Xueyuan. She graduated from both the TDXY and the Provider's School in fact, with a degree in education from the TDXY and a successful apprenticeship as a blacksmith in the Provider's School.
  • Also like most other admissions officers in the Tiandi Xueyuan, she is harsh but fair. She helps the school maintain its strict policy that 50% of all students must be admitted to the school rather than born in it, but at the same time she still tries to help dragons that have been rejected. In the real world, admissions officers only give you cookie-cutter responses due to the high volume of applications they receive. But this is the Flight Rising world, and here you can write on multiple letters at once. First she mass drafts the cookie-cutter part of each rejection letter, and then she tells each pen writing on each separate letter to say something more specific--maybe suggesting that the dragon is more suited to a different field, or that they are welcome to apply again after they mature somewhat, or telling them about other opportunities that they could take advantage of to build their skills, especially before applying again. She was the first to start doing this and now it has become standard practice of the admissions office.
  • HATES Marion. She thinks Marion is still stuck in the days when Tianhou was around and where you had to play a certain game to get admitted. I suppose you could count it as an abuse of power for her to want to reject students simply for having used Marion's services in Newbright Consulting, but her reasoning is mostly that Marion's students are likely to be just as cutthroat competitive as their counselor and she does not want people like that in her university, thank you.
