The Titan Age Izumi was not hatched in this bygone era. The Pantheon Age Izumi was not hatched in this bygone era. The New Age Izumi was hatched in this age to a family that was a member of the Takeya Shogunate, the leading clan of the Akiyama Empire which made its home in Earth Flight territory. The Akiyama Empire was comprised of many small clans which were divided into multiple family lineages. Izumi's family was a minor branch of the Takeya clan so he did not experience much privilege until he was well into his adult life when he took over as the head of the Hashimoto family. As a Shogun, Izumi governed his lands fairly and was served by multiple vassals. However, when Euric Nox launched his attacks on the Akiyama Empire, Izumi watched helplessly as his entire world fell apart. He fought valiantly alongside his fellow Shogun to defend the Emperor, Aki Nakamura's father, but in the end it was futile. In all of the long years that the Akiyama Empire existed, never did they experience such a ferocious and supernatural foe. At the behest of the Emperor, Izumi was ordered to take the youngest daughter Princess Aki to safety. He lost many of his vassals and soldiers along the way, but Izumi successfully took Princess Aki into the lands of the Arcanist where it was obvious that Euric was not following them. The party was quickly thinned by the hidden dangers of the Starwood Strand until it was only Izumi, Princess Aki, Haruki, Genkei, Ren, Danno, Taichi, and Kosuke that stumbled upon Ardens'Cor Leanne. The party was severely injured and weak from hunger so Izumi set aside his pride to beg Leanne for assistance. Leanne was initially caught off guard by the suffering group however she did manage to staunch their wounds and guide them to her home, the Crystal Spire. Izumi was taken before Tenebris'Cor, as he was the acting leader of the Akiyama Empire survivors. In need of strong allies and a chance for his people to recover from recent events, Izumi made a deal with Tenebris'Cor to stay with Sanguinem Luna Clan. Regardless, Izumi was able to bring his people in line and they were absorbed into Sanguinem Luna Clan as full fledged members. Thanks to Leanne's efforts, the Akiyama Empire survivors were able to stay together and work as members of her Hunter caste. They were unanimous in their desire to search for Euric Nox in the name of revenge so the Hunter caste within Sanguinem Luna Clan served their purposes well. Leanne's flexibility and clever mind impressed Izumi, Haruki, and Genkei so they were inclined to call her Shogun and fell into a comfortable chain of command. Leanne and Izumi were regarded as the two leading Shogun, Haruki and Genkei were the Daimyo that oversaw day to day tasks, Princess Aki was still regarded as a Princess so the Akiyama Empire survivors often tried to keep her from working too hard, the others maintained their status amidst each other based on seniority. To this day, Izumi and his followers dream of finding Euric Nox and putting that wicked Bogsneak demon to justice.
