Biography
R A Z I E L
"I can't hear them anymore."
It was the first time he felt like this. Love, dedication, and loyalty was twisted into something ugly, and emotions he didn't - couldn't understand threatened to overwhelm him.
He tried to ignore those feelings for as long as he could, but again and again he asked himself, "Why?"
Why did he have to dedicate himself to these humans when the only one he wanted to give his loyalty to was his Father?
Father had never praised him, never showed his love to him but these hairless apes were praised for all their ugly imperfections and now he was asked to love them more than his Father?
How could he possibly do such a thing?
Sun-drenched feathers obscured his vision, and he could hear an awful screaming that he couldn't find the source of. Everything burned, and he couldn't comprehend what was happening.
Then understanding kicked in and his screams reached a new crescendo.
He was Falling.
Specks of black, iridescent soot swept past him, borne away by the wind and what remained of his wings flapped erratically on instinct as he rushed faster toward the ground.
The second he hit the ground, he could no longer see, or hear, or even think. All he could do was feel the hot white, exploding pain that covered his whole body.
How long had that moment lasted? He had no idea. He no longer had a past or a future he could comprehend at that moment. He no longer had a physical form, for it had melted away to nothing, and all he was was a mind that had discovered that Hell was real and that moment was all that was ever going to exist for the rest of eternity.
