-The childhood “friend” of Quentin, though the two have something of a strange relationship…which might be putting it lightly.
-Doesn’t seem too interested in relationships, despite everyone trying to setup their daughters with him. Especially since he’s actually kind of a catch, and he’s at “that age”, where he really should be looking for someone to settle down with.
-Met Quentin back in highschool, and initially got attached to him because he felt pity for his circumstances, and also because he wanted to save someone (at the time, he was feeling helpless over the situation with his parents and his brother, and needed a distraction). Quentin on the other hand, mostly accepted him because he was useful. This weird dynamic between the two ended when they graduated high school, and Quentin just disappeared with no trace.
-Was actually pretty popular in high school, and got confessed to a lot. But he didn’t really feel anything towards most of them, so nothing ever really happened.
-Eventually met back up years later when Cole witnessed Quentin getting dumped by his then-girlfriend at a bar. Offered Quentin a place to live until he could get his own place, but Quentin doesn’t seem to have any plans to move out and Cole probably won’t make him move out.
-Used to smoke, but quit when Quentin moved in because he remembered that Quentin used to hate the smell. Quentin claims he doesn’t care anymore, and seems to have taken up the habit himself.
-(Mostly) knows when Quentin is manipulating him, but still lets him do it and get what he wants. At some point, Quentin started using physical affection as another manipulation; mostly just to push Cole and see how much Cole would let him get away with (the answer is too much).
-Dotes on Quentin a bit too much, something he acknowledges himself. Tries not to show when he gets jealous/angry over the stunts Quentin pulls, but he’s bad at hiding his emotions in front of Quentin.
-Cole does not have a good relationship with his parents, and considers them greedy and vain people he wants out of his life. The only reason he puts up with them is because of his younger brother, who’s still living with them. They’ve been trying to use Cole‘s reputation and status to climb back to a semblance of what they once had, and he finds their efforts tiring.

-Chased after Quentin when they had a big fight, and on the way home got in a car crash. When he woke, the games had started.
-Doing his best to keep both him and Quentin alive, but it’s pretty clear he’s out of his depth.
-In no way do he and Quentin have the healthiest of relationships, but they’re both stubborn in the worst ways.
-Very distrustful of Silver.

-Has a different side for strangers vs people close to his heart (like his brother and Quentin).

-He’s somewhat suspicious of others and their intentions, especially since most of them want to use him in some way. He’s rather lenient to those he loves though, and tells Quentin he can use him as much as he wants.
-The type that doesn’t like things that are too “troublesome”, because he finds those situations draining...but then goes above and beyond for that troublesome friend of his.
