Biography

YML1P8Y.png 🌸 wisteria (100g base - 2.6kg apparel + genes - 300g art)

- the ensnarer.

- a dryad who lost her tree and wandered the spirit world for years. eventually she found this teahouse, whose previous inhabitants had recently died, and occupied the space where they used to be.

- she is as perfect as a painting, as in not truly real. the beauty of the teahouse is just an illusion: it's actually old and derelict, abandoned decades ago, and the food and drink she serves trap visitors here forever.

- you meet her in a pretty little teahouse atop a hill. the path toward it has been well-worn over the centuries; dragons just like you have walked up it many, many times.
- the inside is too beautiful to be real. the colors are as bright as a painting, the smells as sweet as perfume. even the steam off the tea swirls in elegantly carved patterns that must have been shaped by some mystical hand.

- wisteria herself is the same - perfect, almost to the point of being uncanny. she's speaking, but her voice blends into a background hum of a lullaby. you're listening, not understanding. the meanings of her words don't matter to you when the sound of them is so beautiful.
- she pours you a cup of tea, and you take a sip. it's the sweetest thing you've ever tasted, but there's no aftertaste. as soon as the tea leaves your mouth, it's gone. you take another sip.

- the food she gave you seems to disappear quicker than it should, even as you try to savor each bite. "you were hungry", she sings, and before you know it there's another tray in front of you.
- time isn't real here; the clocks on the walls have no hands, and the minutes seem to melt away before your eyes. it doesn't really matter to you, because this place is perfect. there's no reason you would ever want to leave.

Cliffside Milkweed
- this 'dragon' was once a dryad, a spirit of a tree. the only name she's ever known is the one given to her tree: wisteria.
- she was happy, but not all things last forever. this tree withered away, and along with it went wisteria's physical form.
- bodyless, she wandered the spirit world, but without her tree to tie herself to, wisteria couldn't enter the physical world. that is, not without something to connect with, some empty space to fill.

- far away, in a little teahouse atop a hill, four dragons worked day after day, following the same routine for decades. the day those dragons passed on, a sort of well-worn path remained. a little hole in the world left by their routine, an expectation of their energy where there was none.
- exactly the kind of niche wisteria could take over.

- and so, along with the other spirits, she did. wisteria created a gorgeous place, but not a truly real one. beautiful in the way a picture of a sunset is: so perfect because you're not really there.
- though she could not leave, dragons came to her, and they stayed. because while the teahouse was nothing but sugar, wisteria was bitter within. she wanted dragons to understand how she felt trapped in the spirit world, doomed to a lifetime of beautiful sights without substance or meaning.

I'm not big fan of pink dragons, sure there's some pretties here and there but they never stay in mind for lots of time to me; Wistera was like that for me at first but I came to like her well enough to pick her, not only appreance wise but also lore wise, as her bio describes she feels bittersweet, too pink but also dark enough to feel something is not ok; the contrast is quite welcome

- Wisteria is always cold, even in 80 degree weather

- She collects antiques

- She is lactose intolerant, but she puts milk in her tea regardless

- She eats almonds by the bagful, they're her favorite snack

You said your favorite tab was this one, so I thought I'd begin my review with a bang. To start with, I love the name. This is a spectacular color palette, the off-black is scattered throughout the outfit. Despite having subtly different shades of black in her outfit, the Capsule ties it all together. The cobwebs amplify her pastel goth look and suit her to a T. Ebony antlers are also such a favorite piece of mine, and this Skydancer rocks them! I do not see this aesthetic too often, but I think that it is super well executed. I would not be opposed to reviewing more pastel goth dragons.
