Base of the Banescales: The Starlit Shore
Crystalspine Reaches : Oct. 22–Oct. 26

___The emerald dragon awoke groggy and confused, unsure how he got there... Unsure where "there" was in fact. He was surrounded by other dragons, all strangers to him. A few had names but most did not. He did not.

___He looked around until he saw a sign hanging at the entrance of the vast building. It read: "Auction House" in large bold print, with "Dragons" written in a more ornamental script underneath. He began to understand he was being sold off. He couldn't remember where he'd come from and thus had no idea who was doing the selling, but he knew with certainty that he was not wanted back at his old lair.

___It hurt a bit. Even if he didn't remember their faces, knowing they didn't want him around... he shook his head. That was nonsense. There would be no hurt feelings over a hypothetical past life. If they didn't want him then he didn't want them and that was that.

___Besides, he thought, why dwell on some imagined family lair he had no recollections of when there were real living dragons all around him! With his mind made up, he unfurled his ivory wings and leapt up into the air. He hovered there for a minute, observing the individuals below and deciding which to approach. He found a small cluster and descended. He spoke with the dragons around him, learning their stories. They were from all the different Flights, coming from the farthest corners of Sornieth. He'd intended to keep things short - talk to a few of the others to get a better sense of this place and then keep to himself until he'd formed a plan. However, the more dragons he spoke with the more he wanted to keep meeting. They all had such fascinating tales! Tales he wished he'd been a part of.

___It was all so exciting he marveled, so entranced he didn't notice when he fumbled back into a group of six dragons being lead by a shadowy Banescale. The proud wyvern seemed to have a resting smirk on his features, made sinister by the ghostly paint that covered his body. Though this dragon had fire in his eyes, he did not head towards the Flamecaller's domain. Instead he marched purposefully Northwest – the opposite direction from the ancestral home of the Banescales.

___Curious of the situation but afraid of the Bane, he tried to speak to the Moderns that followed him. All stayed dutifully quiet. They didn't seem sad or afraid, just focused. The emerald dragon frowned and tried again.

___"Hellooooo," he whispered to the shiny Guardian in the group, hoping to get his attention. Again, no response.

___"They're not going to answer," came a silky voice from behind him. He whirled around in shock to find the Banescale's blazing eyes only inches from his own. "They're part of the Devoted," the Bane continued. "They've pledged to live their lives in service of the Arcanist. They'll be tending to the Starlit Shore as the groundskeepers, watching over Unbound familiars, and scouting for rogue beastclans or any of the Shade's abominations. Their children will ascend to serve at the Arcanist's side and, eventually, they will too." The Bane narrowed his eyes thoughtfully. "You don't look like one of the devoted... but you do look like one who wishes to leave this place."

___He Something about the Banescale's explanation sounded off... "The Starlit Shore?" From his time speaking with all the other dragons he'd gotten a pretty good sense of Sornieth's geography and he did not recall any such region in the Starfall Isles.

___"Yes, the Starlit Shore. It's the Base of the Banescales under the Arcanist. Have you not heard of it?"

___Warily, he shook his head no. He was getting more and more curious but he still wasn't sure he trusted this strange Ancient.

___The Banescale's smirk grew wider, an amused glint in his eyes. "I'm Kazir, what's your name?"

___And despite having had no name just a moment before the emerald dragon with ivory wings responded with no hesitation: "I'm Stanley."

___"Well, Stanley, it's a pleasure to meet you. Why don't you come with me? I think a great adventure is about to begin for you." With that, Kazir handed a bag of treasure to a small courier dragon and motioned Stanley towards the door.
The Starlit Shore wrote:
Stanley arrived at the Starlit Shore, an alcove of the farthest spires from the Crystalspine Reaches that was hedged by a glimmering orchard on either side. A patch of glowing woods that had somehow reached the the broken peaks before the Starwood Strand was cut off by the sea. The alcove opened into a wide beach of pink and white sands, with waters that mirrored back the sky's sparkling stars. This was indeed the Base of the Banescales and as such he could not stay for long unless he were to become one of the Devoted. But this didn't bother Stanley. He'd gotten to see this hidden gem and sleep in the Ancient's lair. And maybe some day he'd return to visit once more. But for now, he was going to keep exploring and experience all the places the dragons at Auction House had told him about himself. If - or rather when he returned, he'd share his own tales and recount the adventures he'd undergone.

Stanley took the allowance and food the Banescales had gifted him and headed out to continue his journey.
NOTE: Stanley now carries 25kt to help fund his next adventure along with one stack of plants (4fpt).

The Freezing Frost, Filled With Awes: Realm of the Order
Cloudscape Crags : Oct. 27–Oct. 31

___Traveling across miles and miles of Sorneith, Stanley was headed the direction of bitter cold. His time with the clan of banescales had come to an end, and he was longing to feel the warmth of their hearth once more. Stumbling upon a warrior from the Order, they conversed for a while. Stanley was not deemed a threat, rather, a welcome visitor.

___From there, Stanley had trained with the Order as if he was one of their own. Now armed with a decent amount of combat experience, he knows he can defend himself from a good number of threats, which is exceptionally helpful in such an unforgiving landscape of ice.

___Elysian commended his efforts of wanting to grow. There is so much more in store for him in this world. She blessed him, giving him a magical gene: his stomach was now filled with magic essence, and it was a bright pink! Was this the very colour of his soul shining through?

___After a week of experiencing life at the Order, Stanley had decided that this cut of work was simply not for him. He was not fit to continue their lifestyle of Elysian's magical spellweaving and summoning, nor was he too interested in Umbra's... special line of work. He wanted to travel beyond, so the denizens of the clan had bid him farewell.

___Just as he was out of the castle, Dya appeared outside from thin air, telling him that he was leaving all too soon. He was holding a shrimp-like animal in his paws.

___He looked to be frowning, ever so slightly. It took a great deal of effort to get Dya to ever show his emotions. "I do believe you are going too early, my friend," he began. "In the spring, you can see the cecilias bloom, and many creatures such as these are flittering about in the streams. Wouldn't you rather stay here, where you are safe, and can witness such a beautiful sight?"

___Stanley shook his head. "I'm sure it's pretty. But Dya, of all people, haven't you wanted to go on a grand journey? I want to see everything. I might come back in the spring... but, now is the time for me to say goodbye. It is time that I have gone back to my home land of where the Arcanist resides."

___"Of course, dearest Stanley. I have been on many journeys, and even met the gods of this realm myself. But I do not think I will ever make a trek of such magnitude ever again."

___"Why is that? Haven't you the power of an immortal beast? Surely, you could travel anywhere you please?"

___Dya handed the shrimp creature to Stanley before sighing. "Sometimes, it is best to stay with those you know. The one clan I took residence in for a fortnight tried to spear me to death," he lamented. Stanley gasped, not quite sure what to say. He sat down next to Dya.

___"Of course... The point of me saying that is not to deter you from your own journey. It is to merely tell you to be careful. For many think the Order is ruthless and unforgiving, quick to dispose of the ambitious and broken that come here for redemption. But it is far from the truth. That is why I stay here... ... ...With that, I will not hold you up any longer. Take the creature I have given you, and it will protect you. It needs named-- not now-- but on your journey. Good luck, Stanley, on behalf of the Order."

___The tundra stood up, and began to travel to the land of the Arcanist, in search of a name for his companion, and a new journey.

Look to the Stars: The Starlight Clan
Crystalspine Reaches: Nov 1 – Nov 5

___After a long across the vast expanse of ice, he finally recognized the twisting crags of the Crystalspine Reaches once more. "I bet I could show you the banescales! They're were really nice to me the first time I was there." Stanley said excitedly. His shrimp looked like it was going to respond, except instead he gave a little squeal and hid behind him. Stanley was confused for a second, before he looked up and saw a shadow pass over him...

___ A huge black banescale landed in front of him. Stanley thought back to the banescale base, where he had seen many kinds of banescales. This specific one, however, didn't seem familiar. Her body bore an unfamiliar looking armor, gleaming gold, with a deep purple oozing out from between the cracks in it. "State your business in the territory of the Starlight Clan." She said. "Well I-" He started, but he was distracted by the clank of metal and the beat of wings. This time, a small purple fae dressed in purple and pink flew up to them "Shade, its fine, he's just another traveler!" She chirped. "You must be tired and hungry, no? Come and join us for dinner!" Stanley agreed to this, and picking up the (still slightly scared) shrimp and followed them to their encampment.

___The fae later introduced herself as Mana. She founded a clan deep within the Crystalspine Reaches, one that takes in dragons from any element, any flight. "They all are talented in their own way y'know. One way or another they help out around here, whether it's tending to our familiars, or helping hunt. It's a safe haven for travelers too. You must be in a hurry, but stay with us awhile?" Stanley agreed happily, and thus he was settled at the Starlight Clan for a bit. He helped out as much as he could, and joined the other dragons in their meals and games. His shrimp (named Jambiri by one of the little coatls) frolicked around with the other familiars happily. But alas, while this clan was comfortable and full of joy, Stanley knew he had to leave eventually. He bade them goodbye, and went to get his things.

___However, just as he was packing up, a small nocturne flew up to him shyly, offering him a bundle of objects. Inside was a light runestone, a small shiny statue of the Arcanist, and a odd mixture of goops and and slime. "The next clan you go to will know what to do with it." she said solemnly. "The rune and the statue is a gift from us. If you ever want to come bacok just look to the stars." With that, the nocturne gave a small giggle and flew back towards the other hatchies. Stanley smiled, pocketing his new treasures and strode off into the night.

The Starlight Clan wrote:
NOTE: Stanley is now carrying materials for the skink gene and has two tokens from this clan. Furthermore, his familiars name is Jambiri. Please do not sell/transmute the arcanist statue and the light runestone, they are part of Stanley's belongings!!

Foaming Concoctions: The Tangled Wood Transmuters
Driftwood Drag: Nov 5 – Nov 8

___
Many moons later, Stanley flew into the Tangled Wood. He was entranced as he flew from one glowing mushroom to another...until he realized that he was lost. He looked at Jambiri for help, but it wasn’t there. The Skittering Megashrimp was nowhere in sight. Launching into the sky, Stanley flew in circles, trying to spot Jambiri in the thick mist until he suddenly crashed into a spiral.

___
“Hi! I’m Spooky!” the spiral exclaimed, startling Stanley. “Who are you?”
“I’m Stanley-”
“Cool! Wanna come to my lair?” Stanley had nowhere else to go, so he shrugged and followed her.

___
The inside of the lair was fairly cozy. Soft pillows lined the corners, and hatchlings played with their familiars, including Jambiri!A weight was taken off of his chest as Stanley rushed over to the shrimp. Before he got there, he heard a loud banging sound from another room.

___
An ash-covered nocturne with an igneous iguana emerged. "Oh, hi! Welcome to the Tangled Wood Transmuters!” he happily said as he took off his safety goggles.

___
"What? Who said that we were the Tangled Wood Transmuters?" Spooky asked the nocturne. “You’re the only one who does things with that dusty old cauldron.

___
"Because it sounds cool.”

___
"Oh well, do what you want!” Spooky walked over to the hatchlings and played with Jambiri.

___
"Anyways, sorry about the noise and everything...but hey, at least I made this lovely...green ooze! Hey, do I smell items on you? Maybe some muck, slime, ooze, beakers, and a little bit of treasure?"

___
Deciding that he could trust this friendly nocturne, Stanley nodded his head and held out his bag of materials. “Perfect!” the nocturne shouted. “I know just what to do with it! Here, come this way! By the way, my name is sludgemonster.” The nocturne swiftly flew into the room that he came from, with Stanley following him.

___
Over the next few days, Stanley trained under sludgemonster. He transmuted various items, and went on short trips with sludgemonster to find materials for brew. After a particularly violent fight with a ragepuff that sludgemonster tried to transmute, Stanley gained some battle experience. With the materials that he brought from the Starlight Clan, he even made a skink gene which he later applied to himself. Despite wanting to stay longer, Stanley knew he had to continue on his journey. There are so many places to visit, sights to see, and friends to make along the way. He placed his light runestone and arcanist statue into a bag, and scooped up Jambiri. Right before taking off, sludgemonster gave him a bag of food and treasure. “If you ever are near the Tangled Wood Transmuters, feel free to stop by and say hi!”
The Tangled Wood Transmuters wrote:
NOTE: Stanley now has the skink gene, and is carrying an Arcanist Statue, light runestone, 25kt, 60 frosted violets for food, and of course Jambiri the Skittering Megashrimp. He also has been trained to level 11 because I accidentally put him in my coli team he got into a fight with a ragepuff.

Party of Family and Friends: Clan of Wolves
Frigid Floes : Nov. 08–Nov. 13

___Stanley shivered slightly as he entered the icy domain of the IceWarden. The forest was an unforgiving place. Snow crunched under his paws as he made his way. Looking around, nothing looked good- and it’s seems like the sun is setting... “Where.. am I supposed to go now?” He muttered to himself quietly. As if to answer his quiet question, a wolf popped out from the trees. Startled and slightly afraid, Stanley took a few quick steps backwards and protectively put his wing over Jambiri. “Oh jeez- uh-“

___The wolf grinned and wagged his tail. It let out a soft woof and began to trot up to Stanley. It seems friendly, right..? Stanley held really still, even holding his breath. But the wolf only booped his nose into Stanley’s leg. Then it backed up and began to walk away. The dragon looked unsure of what to expect- then more wolves came out from the trees. His eyes widened and he stumbled away from the crowd of wolves. Stan’s breath quickened as he prepared to take off into the sky.

___“Now what are you guys so excited about?” A voice broke into the noise of pawsteps in the snow. A dragon! There’s someone else here! “H-Hello?” Stanley cautiously called out
A big Tundra dragon with the face mask of a fierce animal landed in front of him. “Ahh... This is why they’re so excited. Howdy! State your business in our clan grounds!”
He thought for a second. Last time someone said something like that to him, someone else popped out and rescued him. That doesn’t look like it’s happening. “Hi- I’m Stanley? And uh- I was hoping to maybe find a place to stay for the night.”

___The dragon nodded it’s head. It’s big, scary head. “I’m Blaidd! You’re lost, huh? Well, don’t worry. I’ll show you to our clan! I know how it feels to be lost. I lost my kids once- they were almost sent off to the Earthshaker with their father. Scariest moment of my life. Come on! And don’t be afraid of the wolves. They’re our friends!”
Deciding to trust this dragon, Stan smiled. “Okay! I’ll follow you.”

___After just a bit more walking through the snow, Stanley began to see streamers that were hung up in the trees. They were bright red and pink streamers and there were bows and lights that appeared on more and more trees as they got closer. “What is that?” He asked, pointing at the trees “What’s going on?”

___Blaidd chuckled. “You’re just in time for our celebration night! We celebrate family and friends. Everyone’s invited!”
“Celebration night? Family... and friends? I don’t have a family though. Who would I celebrate with?” Stanley said sadly.
“You can celebrate with all of us! Tonight’s the night to celebrate family, tomorrow’s the night to celebrate friends. You can have dinner with my family, or even our leader’s family. It’s up to you!”
Finally, they stepped into the village. It was a bright and festive place, and the snow falling softly just made it beautiful. The wolves ran around the village, snapping at the snow playfully and sliding around. The houses were tundra sized igloos with tall green trees growing on the outskirts of the village.

___The two of them made their way towards a house. Blaidd knocked on the door and another dragon opened it. It was a white dragon with a white sewn wolf head on his head.
“Hello Blaidd! You’ve brought a friend? Who is this?” The dragon grinned.
“Hey Raidoalth! The wolves found someone lost in the forest- he needs a place to stay for the night. Or two.”
Raidoalth nodded his head. “They can stay with us, we’ve got an extra room! Or if you want, you can stay with Blaidd.”
Stanley looked between them. “I- I don’t mind either one.” He’s slightly overwhelmed.

___Another dragon popped up and pushed Blaidd away. “You’re scarin him. Come on, bud, Just stay with me. I got a whole empty house, minus me.” The dragon was a white-ish dragon with golden wings and a red and black wolf head. She’s also got herbs hanging from her wings- a medicine dragon! Nodding, he scooted closer to her. “Yeah- I’m gonna go with her.”
She grinned at that. “My name’s Billows! Alright, It’s getting dark now so let’s head into my house for the night. Tonight’s the celebration of family! You can celebrate with me!”

___The night went quickly. Stan ate dinner with her and listened to her talk about herbs and a cool scroll she found. It was a scroll to help control magic! She noticed his magic pouch, so she just gave it to him. As soon as they activated it, a glowing golden orb came out of the paper and it circled him. It’s to help him control his magic! It stays on him at all times. Then, they went to bed.

___The next day, Stanley spent the entire day wandering around the town, talking to all the residents. Everyone seemed eager to welcome him in. After a day of saying hello to everyone, exploring the village, petting the wolves, and trying out little treats that dragons were baking, him and Jambiri joined them all in Raidoalth and Dotheg’shome. Everyone seemed to have brought some food with them! There was laughter, joy, and happiness in the air tonight. And Stanley is glad they were invited. After everything was over and they were packing up everything, Stanley decided to head out to his next adventure.

___“Are you sure you don’t want to stay for another night?” Billows asked him. “My house is open for you to stay-“
“It was fun here- and I’m honored that you allowed us to join you for your party. But I can’t stay. I’ve got quick claws, gotta move on, you know? Thank you for this, though.”
Billows nodded slowly. She understood what he meant. It was quite nice to have someone who listened to her, but she has to say goodbye. “Guys! Stanley has to leave now! Let’s send him away with a gift from us!”
It was unanimous. A couple dragons found a basket, and the rest picked out some food to send him away with.

___He stood at the edge of the village, with his glowing orb and his best friend- Jambiri- and he waved goodbye. “Thank you! I will never forget you all! Maybe I’ll find myself back here in my journeys.” With that, he took off into the sky.

Misadventures with Mirrors: The Pit
Shattered Plain : Nov. 14–Nov. 23

___This time, Stanley flew beyond the Starfall Isles. He went north along the coast until he reached a vast expanse of earth. The air here was hot and dry, with the occasional breeze blowing up a puff of dust from the soil. Jambiri was not particularly pleased with this. Tired of flying in the scorching heat, Stanley landed in hopes of finding a small crevice to hide out during the day. He didn't think it would be too difficult as the ground here was full of cracks. Stanley and Jambiri stumbled along until they came across an innocent looking in-ground cave. A suspicious looking hole was at the back of the cave but they ignored it and tucked in for the night.

___When Stanley awoke, he found himself alone – no megashrimp in sight.

___Determined to get his friend back, Stanley ventured through the hole at the back of the cave. He found himself in a tunnel that led to the bottom of a large crack he'd seen on the surface - so large it could almost count as a canyon. And within, it is full of various hatchlings.

___Two slightly unhinged Mirrors sit atop a large rock, overlooking the scene. Stanley approaches to figure out where he is and what's going on. Stanley learns from the two that he's in what is called The Pit. And it is chaos in The Pit.

___ The two Mirrors apparently take in hatchlings that have been abandoned in The Auction House and hang onto them until they've grown up. Stanley shuddered as he recalled the crowded building where he first started his journey. The Mirrors inform Stanley that his traveling companion was probably taken up by some of the hatchlings to play with. Unfortunately for Stanley, with over 40 young dragonlings running around, finding Jambiri was quite the task. Throughout his time there, Stanley learned the Mirrors had accumulated quite a large sum of treasure while overseeing The Pit. It seemed, though, that they only ever used this money to enlarge The Pit and get new temporary residents for it. When pressed, the Mirrors admitted they didn't really have any specific goals. Therefore, when Jambiri was finally located and Stanley decided to get far away from that crazy lair, the Mirrors decided to dump their entire hoard of treasure onto Stanley's pack. Altair also gave him some ruby wingdrapes to go with his tummy, while Tantras gave him one extra shiny, giant coin.

A Ragtag Group of Dragons
Highland Scrub : Nov. 28 – Dec. 6

Stanley wandered into the Lightning territory and met a Clan, led by a soldier, fed up with fighting but forever stained by it. She let's him into the Lair, a ragtag group of dragons who searched for a home for different reasons and found it here. A baby dragon, Megan, came and gave him a Friendship Bracelet he put on his tail and Stuffed Mith, so he never has to feel alone on his travels, was her reasoning. The pretty large group of Familiars greet him all too and play with him. They sent him along, with a full belly because food is one resource they never have not enough of.

Festival Debacles: A Starry Forest
The Observatory : Dec. 6 – Dec. 10

___As the now-familiar Arcane realm came into view, Stanley's curiosity drove him to fly right to the heart of it. Enormous columns of rock and crystal rose from the ground, with waves lapping at their eroding edges. Upon the tallest of these pillars, a great observatory loomed. Stanley glides around it in slow circles, looking upon it in wonder. Dare he approach? Was he allowed to approach? ___Nervous excitement building, he didn't notice the approaching dragon until they collided midair.
___"Ack!" A vivid green spiral was tucking his map into a scroll case before looping around Stanley. "Ah, I'm sorry! You're not hurt are you? Oh, everyone's always saying 'watch where you're going when you fly', but what a waste of time it would be to stop every time I need to check my map!"
___The spiral's relentless looping was beginning to make Stanley dizzy. After checking that Jambiri was okay (he only grumbled discontentedly before retreating into Stanley's bag to continue his nap), Stanley responded. "Um... I am quite alright."
___The spiral peered at him intensely for a moment before giving Stanley a grin. "I'm Gleditsia, by the way. Watcha doing out here, looking all star-struck?"
___"Oh! I'm Stanley. And uh, I just haven't been this close to the, ah," he gestured at the imposing Observatory.
___"Well don't get any closer." Gleditsia responded, waving the tundra to follow.
___"Is it quite dangerous?" Stanley asked nervously.
___"Nah, it's just super boring. I'll show you something fun, though!"
___Supposing that he had nothing better to do (and that this erratic spiral didn't seem to have any malicious intent or a shred of combat ability), Stanley decided to follow him.

He found himself in a dense forest, which surrounded one of those great stone spires he had seen earlier. He could hear the sounds of creatures rustling through the underbrush and the telltale swoosh of dragon wings ahead, along with faint snatches of laughter and music. From the trees hung lanterns of many colours, their lights casting strange shapes across the forest.
___"Gleditsia, who is this poor dragon you've bundled up?"
___A deep-green imperial approached them, fixing Stanley with an apologetic look. "I do hope you weren't kidnapped. I assure you, Gleditsia means no harm. I am Alalme. If you like, please stay for our humble festival, unless you have a home to return to tonight."
___"I don't." Stanley said, casting a wary look at the cheeky look on his spiral companion's face. "I should like to stay, if I am able!"
___The imperial gave him a warm smile. "As I said, it is a humble affair, but tonight is the first full moon following our spring harvest, so we do like to celebrate."
Stanley had grown to like humble dinner parties, and settled into this one with ease. Many dragons approached him to chat, including a gaggle of hatchlings who eagerly prompted him to tell stories of his travels. It made Stanley happy to see their looks of awe and excitement in response to his adventures.
Eventually the night grew quiet and Stanley was shown a place to sleep. After a leisurely morning spent in conversation with the clan's more seasoned travellers, Stanley felt inspired to head off once again.

___ Stanley had been traveling all around Sornieth- some places hes even visited twice! Soon, however, he found himself in a place he had never been before. The climate became warmer as he traveled farther south, and suddenly Stanley was not feeling very well. His thick tundra fur was beginning to make him very hot. He felt dizzy, as if he had been spinning around and his vision began to darken and fade into nothing as the world seemed to slip away...

___ A splash of ice cold water in Stanley's face started him awake.

___“wh-whe where am I? what happened?” Stanley stammered, talking to whomever splashed him with the water.
___ A soft yet firm voice replied. “Hello I am Galexia. The clans’ matriarch. My clan’s guard Furyscale was out on patrol keeping our clan protected, and he found you passed out on our land. Not knowing why you were here or what your intentions were, and not sensing any threat from you.. he brought you to me. To decide what I should do with you. Now that I have answered your questions, maybe you will answer a couple of mine? Who are you, and why are you on our land?”
“First and foremost, thank you for not killing me on sight for trespassing in your territory. My name is Stanley, I’m just a humble traveling dragon. I really had no destination in mind; I was wandering aimlessly when I suddenly felt ill. Now that I have recovered I will be on my way to continue my travels.“ Stanley started on his way when Galexia called out to him. Not wanting to be disrespectful or cause any trouble he quickly came to a stop.
“Stay and rest, our clan has been host to traveling dragons before. In fact, Furyscale has a son here in our clan from a romantic encounter with our last visitor to travel to the fire territory. I’m sorry your first impression was not as friendly as it should have been- but I take the safety of my clan very seriously. Let us show you our southern hospitality and be our welcome guest!”

___ Stanley didn't hesitate to accept Galexias offer. Stanley met and socialized with many of the clans inhabitants, most of which wanted to know why he didn't have a secondary gene. Not knowing why himself Stanley had no answer for his new friends. Some of the clan had suggested he go see the clan shapetwister. Intrigued and not entirely sure of what a shapetwister was, Stanley chose to go and find out. As Stanley arrived at the entrance to the appropriate cave, he took a deep breath and with a nervous trepidation, entered Willow's abode.

___“Come in, sit, relax. You have nothing to fear from me. Would you like a cup of tea? It will help me learn more about you.“
Stanley sat and quietly sipped his tea.
“Now, tell me a little bit about yourself, Stanley.“ Willow murmured.
So Stanley recounted his travels to Willow, and shared with her his goals and what he wanted to get out of his life as a traveling dragon. Willow, clutching her magic pearl, whispered an incantation into it and it started to glow. An image of Stanley appeared on the pearls surface showing him the possibility of how he could look with a new secondary gene. It also showed him a change to his eye type. A single tear formed in the corner of Stanley's eye and slowly rolled down his cheek.
“I look so handsome with new markings finally completing my appearance. I dont care what it costs me even if I have to work to make it happen!”

___ Willow, who’s heard the words many times before from everyone she has helped become their new truer self, replied with a “That wont be necessary, Stanley. I never ask for more than a client can afford. My services are quite reasonable.” Then what Willow did next shocked Stanley. “Seeing as you are here as a guest of the clan, and Christmas is only a few weeks away- this ones on me. My gift to you Stanley.”
Willow took some ingredients from her familiar and quickly brewed a potion. “Drink this and wait for the magic to happen.“

___ The potion tasted horrible, but Stanley drank it all and waited for whatever was going to happen. The room started to feel as if it were closing in on itself- Its a good thing Stanley wasn't claustrophobic. Stanley didn't know if it was actually happening or if it was just in his head but flames of red and orange surrounded him, but they were not hot and they were not burning him. They were just really bright. So bright he had to close his eyes. The flames swirled and danced around him. Finally everything seemed to get calm and return to normal. Stanley figured the potion had finished its intended effects, when he gathered the courage to open his eyes and look at his reflection in the pool of water he let out a shout of pure joy.
“I’m so handsome now! My wings and mane have a beautiful pattern and my eyes had changed as well!“ This made him feel as if he was complete now. “Thank you, thank you so much Willow! I can never fully convey the gratitude that is in my heart! I appreciate your gift and the skill in which you applied it!”
“The look on your face is all the thanks I need, Stanley, You can continue your journey as a new man now.”

___ It saddened Stanley to know his time in the realm of fire was soon coming to an end, but he would never forget the time he spent there. Who knows, some day Stanley's travels may bring him back this way, and he will get to revisit his newfound friends! With a quick goodbye to everyone he met, Stanley flew off for his next adventure.
