- created to be a stand in judge for the Arcanist
- this guy did a crime and in court made the jury believe he was innocent; the victim was like 'would you swear it in front of the Arcanist' and guilty was like 'whatever'
- that night, guilty left a bribe basically on an Arcane shrine to try and get out of the trial
- Arcanist turned the bribe into Kairos; sent him down and made him the judge in his place; compelled guilty to tell the truth
- basically he can compel people to tell the truth/their true opinion
- often invoked during trials and all parties must swear on his name
- it is considered bad luck to leave coins or anything resembling gold at a shrine to Kairos bc he'll think you're trying to bribe him
- not as mean as Hai but still cautious of people
- at odds with Hai bc he helps people get out of troubles while Hai believes are people are evil
