 As the name of their profession suggests, Xanna and Ash work with light itself: capturing it, manipulating it, fixing it in tangible form. They make lanterns, yes, and glowing stones, but also explosives and reservoirs of great magical power -- for what can be stronger than sunlight, the force which ultimately feeds all Sornieth? They make weapons to smite the undead and unholy, and sometimes they make unholy things themselves. They also make children, and teach them their craft.

Perhaps it was a mistake to name Lucilius after light itself, the most important element of his craft. Whether it was his name or simply his nature, he somehow acquired a swelled head, growing arrogant and supercilious. Unfortunately for everyone around him, he's also extraordinarily gifted, easily turning his claws to any aspect of Lightsmithing he chooses. It's hard to counteract his pride when it seems entirely justified.

Lucilius found it was to easy to preform his Lightsmithing in the brightly lit lands of the Light Flight. His arrogance pushed him to become even better than. He traveled across Sornieth preforming his craft and smiting the undead he found. He lived quite a good life for himself as he traveled. He never had to worry about how much gold he had. He always found work where ever he went. He went after the hardest jobs so he could get the best pay.
