Lennox
The Summer Prince

Gen 2 Imperial

Lennox was born from the leaders of his birth clan on the border of Arcane and Earth prior to their move completely to the latter's territory. He and his siblings were seen as special dragons, rarities, given their parents' status and lineage. Many clans would spend thousands of gems or treasure to bribe them to join given the chance while others might stoop to lower means.

Needless to say, the young imperial was kept well protected by his parents and the clan. Lennox's beautiful scales soon earned him the title of Summer Prince even at his young age. His warm personality and gentle nature only seemed to further embody the spirit of the season. From a young hatchling, his arcane magic was almost constantly mistaken for that of a Nature dragons! The prince's ability to harness the arcane and use it to manipulate the growth of plants was different from most Arcane dragons but this difference was nurtured and encouraged. After all, he was royalty and this special kind of magic was fitting for a dragon of his status.

Many of his parents' subjects saw him as their opposite. While his mother was rough and blunt and his father antiquated and tough, Lennox was quick to show forgiveness to mistakes and kindness to both the beast clans that shared their territory as well as other dragons. The only downfall any might claim he had was his quieter nature, though when he did speak there was a power to his voice that was listened to with rapt attention. Truly, the growing dragon was thought to be loved by all. Most believed he'd go one to do great things when his time came to leave the clan.

But jealousy was something that tarnished the hearts of some dragons. The Summer Prince was like a deity, placed on a pedestal by the commoner in the clan. Some thought it was an act of deception and Lennox was using them to get whatever his heart so desired. Others were quite aware that the young dragon really was just a rare pure heart... and wanted to see that beauty corrupted.

It wasn't long after Lennox had put the clan behind him that those bitter with envy set out to harm the prince. But the imperial wasn't a pushover by any means. Lennox was swift to use his magic, warping the plants and mutating them with his arcane powers to ensnare and engulf his attackers. Making his escape, the young dragon seemingly disappeared from the face of Sornieth for a long time...

At some point, a curse was placed on him, rendering Lennox mute. Rumors of this being done due to how powerful he'd grown began to circulate the area in Nature where he'd taken shelter. His magic had grown much stronger over the years and many claimed that prior to his curse, the Summer Prince could unbalance the seasons just by opening his maw. Whether or not that rumor holds any merit will never be known now.

Despite all that was done to him in attempts to quell his power and corrode his golden heart, Lennox remains a dragon filled with gentle kindness for those who do seek him out. His labyrinth of mutated plants ensures only those with good intentions can find his lair. It's there that the prince takes care of injured dragons and beasts that he happens across. Those that stay are also granted the protection his labyrinth provides. His regal presence and warm aura brings a peace over his land. While he still goes by the Summer Prince, his acolytes consider him their king.
