Biography

Snarl is the clan's inventor and chief battlemage. He has an inquisitive and ambitious personality which leads him to study both magic and mechanisms with zeal.

Named for the vicious sound he made when first hatched, Snarl was born into a large pack of Mirrors who roamed the border between the Starwood Strand and the Wandering Contagion. He spent his early days learning to track, hunt, and fight from the older dragons of the pack, but this changed when the pack Alpha was killed by a Longneck assassin. He left the pack to hunt down the assassin, and along the way heard more stories of how the Beastclans had grown stranger and more aggressive lately toward dragons, as though some other force were controlling them.

Filled with worry and having killed the assassin after a year on the hunt, Snarl joined the draconic forces fighting against the Shade-touched Beastclans. One day he saw a ruby-red guardian charge into battle against a large group of Serthis warriors; he used this furious roaring attack as a distraction while he crept around the Serthis flank to kill the general who was guiding his forces from the rear. The two dragons made short work of the Serthis. And as Snarl looked into the ruby-red guardian's purple eyes, he knew that he had found a worthy battle companion. After a few months of fighting together, they realized that they were meant for each other and settled down to found the Truth in the Stars clan.

Snarl found his familiar in an abandoned mine, almost rusted through. After months of painstaking restorations (and a few upgrades), Five is finally up and running.

He is the mate of Veritas, and is the father of Sundown and Zanven as well as several other dragons who have now left the clan. To see the family tree and unexalted children, check Veritas' bio.
