Biography

Veritas is the founder and defender of her clan. As the name suggests, she has a strong commitment to truth and does her best to keep up the clan's reputation as one of the most honest around. She is a stern but kind leader who makes sure every dragon is treated fairly.

Before she met Snarl and settled down to found the Truth In the Stars clan, she fought bravely in the wars against the Shade-touched Beastclans. It is said that she once defeated a dozen harpies and three trolls on her own. After one battle against the Serthis, she found that she had not been fighting alone: a red mirror had used her initial attack as a distraction to attack the beast warriors from behind. They fought by each others' sides for a while before realizing that they were meant for each other and founding their new clan.

In the clan that she has now founded, most of her time is taken up by raising her children, keeping Snarl from becoming evil, fending off the attacks of rival clans, making sure that Sapphire and Altkima don't blow the islands out of the sky, and other such leaderly duties. When (a rare thing indeed) she has time to spare, she likes to read in her den or write letters to her children who have left to serve the Deities.

She met her familiar after battling through the Woodland Path alongside Snarl; the Sakura Owl followed the two of them and refused to leave, even when shooed away. Blossom now carries messages back and forth between members of the clan.

She is the mate of Snarl and is mother to Sundown and Zanven as well as many other dragons who have now left the clan. She is also the great-great-grandmother of Gleam, the great-great-great-grandmother of Tyriox, and the great-great-great-great-great-grandmother of Mathas.
