The Carnival is always ready to greet its guests, gates wide open and waiting. It goes by many names, depending on its location and what time you attend. There are the usual games and attractions, a few small thrill rides, booths selling food and drink, and the unusual performers and workers you would expect to see in a traveling show.

The Carousel is at the very heart of the parade of possibilities; the paths that are followed, no matter where you start, all seem to lead you to the delicately poised dragon figures making their endless circles, inviting you to take a restful ride.

Before you reach the spinning soul of the Carnival, you will follow many twisting pathways. Whether brightly illuminated by the sun or garishly lit by neon in the dark, you will find a plethora of different attractions to draw your attention. It doesn't matter if you decide to come early or wait until late; the eternal hunger of the Carnival will promise you a feast of fun. What the proprietors never tell you, until the end, is exactly who is dining and who is a dish.

Thellyn and Thelonius are two sides of the same coin; both are dangerous, though only one looks it. The darkness in them feeds on the souls of their guests, as well as the souls of the poor dragons who were trapped on both sides of the sunrise and sunset and made into eternal conduits for the feasting.
