They told me I’d get used to the cold, but I never really did. I was born within the heart of the Southern Icefields where the snow never ended and the glaciers never melted. Even when summer passed, the sun wouldn’t even grace the frozen ground underneath the layer of snow. Nomads came and went, while some made their home within our lair. Their stories of warmth outside this continent seeped deeper than the fire we sat around. There was a land where active volcanoes reigned, a land where the sandy desert stretched as far as our own icy fields, a land where the sun never touched, and so many more..
