Biography
Cadantine
She's talkative and friendly, an outgoing person at heart who loves the company of others regardless of how well she knows them. She'll chat about pretty much any topic her conversation partner is comfortable with, and while she can be a terrible gossip about frivolous things, if she's told something in confidence she will guard the secret, offering to lend what help she can. She strives to be trustworthy and to make others comfortable, and while she enthusiastically juggles a huge number of social contacts and responsibilities, she understands that not everyone is built as socially ravenous as she is. This is something she has come to learn can be a stumbling point for her, since the moment she gets bored she will start tying herself in knots, both figuratively and literally. A bored Cadantine can be found roaming the lair for something that needs her attention or frantically doing the chores she'd been putting off when there were more exciting things to do.
While Avantoe is away on business, Cadantine and Magebane share joint leadership of the clan. Her talent with people is impeccable but she sometimes feels a little out of her depth with the complexities of beastclan politics, and she's thankful that Magebane shoulders the majority of that for her. She's also serving volunteer time in Shade defense, something Cadantine never participated in while living in the Ashfall Waste. She took to combat training quickly and enthusiastically and takes pride in her ability to protect the land from Shade-possessed monsters all while keeping her accessories looking fabulous. She spends most of her time protecting the Gladeveins but is comfortable deploying if given enough prior warning.
She and Torstol are in disgusting love and happily married. Cadantine met Torstol when she came to the Viridian Labyrinth, intrigued by a plague imperial who had uprooted herself to follow her passion for ecology. They quickly became far closer than either of them ever expected, and their love and devotion to each other has only deepened over the years. Cadantine does her best to spoil Torstol every chance she gets, both with heaps of jewelry and with early access to the newest literature in her field, since Torstol is not able-bodied enough to travel to keep up to date as much as she wishes she could. Cadantine loves seeing Torstol happy and enjoys weaving herself into her mane.
Truncate and Cadantine are BFFs and spend all of their time both in and outside combat talking incessantly about literally anything they enjoy. Cadantine is glad to have a friend who is as game for playing good natured-pranks on people who will appreciate it as she is.
Cadantine does her best to routinely keep in touch with every dragon member of the lair, and with a good number of beastclan members as well. She continues to try to make Marrentil feel more comfortable as the newest member of the clan, though Marrentil is very skittish by nature and easily finds Cadantine's enthusiasm overwhelming. She is glad to see Featherfoil slowly lowering her prickly defenses and seeming more at ease even if the skydancer still tends to keep to herself. Raster's enthusiasm for Shade-touched techno trash is something Cadantine is a bit wary of, but they've spent long hours clearing possessed Workshops together and even if Raster is more easily distracted in combat than Cadantine likes, she knows the young imperial has her back. She thinks Dendy is massively weird and does her best to stay out of the other spiral's way.

She left her ivory tower and spent a few years roaming the Ashfall Waste, absorbing and falling in deeper and deeper love with the cultures of her native land.
