A pretty coatl who takes her common jobs seriously. She prefers practical clothing to guard her against the elements while her dear little pet will rattle in warning if someone is getting a little too close for her comfort. She'll even keep it placed on top of her satchel so no one will try to sneak their claws into it. Her whole life she's had awkward and downright uncomfortable situations with others trying to charm her because all they saw was her beautiful plumage and not who she was.
Over time it was discovered she not only knew her way around the woods but she was very adept at keeping bandits at bay thanks to her wits and the little scaly friend on her shoulder. This made her an ideal candidate for being the one to get up early and deliver letters, packages, and the like to her den-mates when they were handed to the lair.
Kestrel keeps her relations with the rest of the residents to a purely professional level. She delivers their mail, they may exchange polite exchanges, any that's all. She's always preferred time by herself.

Until she met Corryn.

Corryn, the nocturne who felt disgusted with herself and shut herself away from everyone.
Corryn, who didn't greet Kestrel with the same fawning everyone else did.
Corryn, who couldn't fathom why Kestrel would want to be around her.

Corryn sees Kestrel from the inside as well. The nocturne makes Kestrel feel like she could be balding and covered in scabs and scars and still Corryn would love her all for it.

Roan is their adopted son. The sprangyroo was discovered by Kestrel coming across a nomadic band of traders. Kestrel landed to greet them and see if they had anything worth a look and was shocked to see what type of cargo they had. She's met more than a few shady characters with questionable merchandise in their wagon but the site of a caged baby sprangyroo in the back filled her with rage. She offered coin for him and they refused since he already been sold as a pet in the fire territory to royals. Kestrel had to resort to more...intense negotiations involving Maisey and the threat of death to their caravan leader to make them hand the baby over.
Kestrel and Corryn are now the proud mothers of the adorable and feisty fella. Plus little Serila who came into the picture down the line.
