Best Friend & Only Friend in Maledictum

Ruination, despite their strength, never really wanted to serve within the typical positions of the Order that was offered. Was there really a choice? Perhaps, or perhaps not. It mattered nonetheless for they more desired to wander as an Overseer along the border of Rotrock Rim where the possibility to meet new dragons were often higher than being closed within the Order to the Wardens/Guardians. There was no explanation to the oddity that was Ruination. With such a destructive name, they never really behaved as their siblings did. With flares of aggression and sadism, they never tended to cause great uproars or fight with other C-I's often. While not wholly trusting of many dragons, the fated meeting between them and Zimmer changed just about everything. Meeting another dragon who showed more zest and deranged behaviour akin to their predecessors was often jarring. This spiral of alchemic origins with wide eyes and seemingly no fear in approaching Ruination made them very wary initially. Zimmer spoke way too fast for them to understand but they knew in the very least that he was curious about what Ruination was. Of course, it was a given that they would eventually snap and nearly kill Zimmer for the annoyance he was causing them. Though he did not intend it, he knew that he much deserved it. Eventually apologizing for being so nosy towards a stranger, Zimmer offered them an invite into the Maledictum Clan of the Plague. It was a very abrupt invite and an even more abrupt decision to accept it on Ruination's part. What could go wrong, right?

Honestly, everything went wrong. Being found interacting with an outsider who had gotten too close to the Wyrmwound without attacking sent Ruination into major trouble. Only quick-thinking was able to allow them to escape without being made into corpses. Zimmer was able to use one of his potions that was essentially a toxic smoke bomb allowed him to grab Ruination and start dashing out of there towards where the Maledictum Clan was. Ruination wondered to themselves if this was the right move. There, they had a purpose & desire within the Order but they always felt strange and often pondered if they were 'right' to do the job. Nonetheless, that was memories of years ago and ever since joining the Maledictum Clan, they have found themselves rather at peace with what had happened. While remaining mostly close to Zimmer, often huddling away in the spiral's workshop and den, they serve as the Clan's Protector due to the ferocity and strength of their genealogy.
