Magpie was the first child born to two contracted parents outside of the S.I. complex. Instead, Maggie had insisted on a home birth, and thus, Magpie was born within the caretaker's manor in the Ju-Omoi.

Maggie refuses to let Magpie be corrupted by Schwartz and all her dealings. It's why the little girl remains homeschooled, and all her friends are familiars. However, because of their contracts, Magpie's curriculum is closely monitored by S.I. verified teachers.

When not nose deep in a book, Magpie is out exploring. There isn't a place too high or too low for her to find. It's frequent that she comes home after dark, covered head to toe in mud. Her father finds it funny. Her mother does not.
