Biography
Naomi Decendant - 4th Generation
Naomi ->Willow -> Djinn > me
Bastet was the last born of Djinn before his 'shift.' Her older brother, she barely knew. All she remembered was that the ruby dragon that vaguely resembled a Skydancer was taken from their nest quickly after their hatching. Osiris, her parents named him. A true shame that she never had the time to bond with him, she would later reminisce. Perhaps she would have enjoyed his company. But she would never get that chance.
Her elder sister, she only knew for a few days at most. A brilliantly red dragon, who resembled a Fae, but there was something different about the way she cried out. Something odd about the way she would mimic the creatures that would stray past the opening of their den, dragon or Beastclan. Bastet would never know her fate.
Bastet was the last to leave her nest, and she observed her father with great caution. Such a small being in contrast with their mother, yet the grass of the earth and the limbs of the great pine trees seemed to lean away from his presence in all moments. And yet...
She was just like him. A Fae, a carrier of the Keir Efinar (albeit through her mother), with brown, reflective scales, and though her wings were of a paler shade of pink, with some reddening she would be a perfect replica. The ultimate facsimile of her dear father, the grandson of Naomi, known as Djinn.
And perhaps this was why it was Djinn himself that cast her out into the wilderness, on the borders of a clan known only as Sanctuary. Perhaps Djinn was afraid that she would grow to be like him, and overthrow him. However, no one knows what the thought process of her father was on that cold, inclement morning. All that Bastet was aware of was the warm blanket her father carried her in, the heat being quickly replaced by a rush of air, the dew moistened moss, and then silence.
That was all she knew of her parents, her brother, her sister. What she remembered next was the concerned cries of who she later found to be guards, rushed movements, being lifted into the air, the tall, wooden gates, and then a hollow tree, a roaring fire, a kind dragon named Tarot, and warm food. She was safe. She was home.
She would later hear tales of her infamous father, that he now donned a brilliant blue hue, and had taken the appearance of a Skydancer, only to leave her mother in favor of an unknown female of the Mirror species. Although she pitied her mother and resented her father, Bastet knew that they were not of her concern anymore. She had established a new life for herself, and it would not be taken away from her without a fight.
