Always found covered in dirt, dust, and grime, Shannon is the clan’s digger and miner extraordinaire. Though the scope of his assigned duties is rather small, that doesn’t keep the bogsneak from keeping busy! He wasn’t always needed expanding the lair, so he’d taken up a number of hobbies to fill time (some less objectionable than others). The first and tamest of these hobbies was rock collecting. Not just gems or special rocks, but any rock. If he liked it, he kept it. He also enjoyed scaring worms and Bun-Bun tossing. Shannon didn’t understand why these were seen as objectionable, what else was he supposed to do with all these rabbit burrows?

Riches
Down beneath the earth, Shannon labored on with a desperate want for what he knew must be down there. For the past twelve days of excavating he'd seen flecks of gold in his mine, panning them out and gathering up what he could to melt into something resembling currency. It was hardly enough for even a small vial, but he thought, no, he knew, there must be more down there. There had to be bigger pieces, or at very least more of the smaller ones. They'd all be rich! Rich enough to afford those parts to repair the telescope that The Dreamers had found the other week.
The bogsneak dug out a new area of the mine, careful not to create too steep an angle for the ceiling. Wouldn't get him any gold to be buried alive down there (not that he wouldn't just dig his way out and start over), so he was wary of any sort of shifting his walls might be doing on his watch. In this new hole, he struck something far better than anything he'd expected. Glimmering silver color within the rocks, Shannon flicked his tongue against it and discovered it was platinum, far more expensive than gold! He was rich, no, they were rich. He couldn't hoard it all for himself. Could he? No, surely not.
He gathered what he could in the bags across him, dragging out kilogram after kilogram of pure money. However, when he came out with the last load of his riches, Shannon noticed that many of the piles were out of place, no longer neatly stacked as he'd left them. Surely they weren't so unstable as to have fallen over, he thought as he neatly placed the last of it before going back to rearrange the rest. There, he found the culprit of his disorderly pile laying among it. Cinderbug was curled up with a pile of the scrap stone that contained his treasures.
Cinderbug didn't understand why the bogsneak tried to get her to move from the pile. It was comfortable here, unlike those 'pillows' and 'bed' that Shannon kept trying to get her to sleep in. The rocks were far more comfortable, especially the ones Shannon had already dug out and had nice smooth edges from where his pickaxe had broken them. Those were the most comfortable ones, and Cinderbug wasn't big enough to use the pickaxe on her own to make them. So she settled for relying on Shannon, though he seemed awfully attached to these ones. Usually he let her have them to nap on!
Shannon did his best to explain wealth and platinum and riches beyond her wildest imagination, but Cinderbug was neither listening nor did she want to be. She instead, spoke loudly of this "lightbulb bug" she'd seen, which Shannon slowly came to learn was a Light Sprite. The bognsneak was slowly convinced on the idea of having one of these living mining lights through Cinderbug's happy description of one lighting the way somewhere. Perhaps he'd have to use some of these riches to get one of them, a personal mining light who didn't need to be refueled.
