Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this restless Wildclaw wandered a little too far from his/her home lair (444242, somnambulist), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

Mavir grew up in a big family. His siblings were the bulk of his mother's group, and from an early age, he was taught to value any and all familial bonds. However, due to the competitive nature of a Wildclaw-dominant circle, Mavir's sensitive disposition and his aversion to excessive conflict were often looked upon with puzzled eyes from his more traditionalist brothers and sisters.

Though he loved his family, and always will, Mavir felt a strange disconnect from his clan as a younger dragon. Though he adored his home of the Mirrorlight Promenade, he yearned to know what laid beyond his home domain. After some time of uneasy tossing and turning, Mavir decided to explore past the boundaries of the land he kept to; he planned on returning from his exploration by dusk, with a fervent hope that this taste of unknown would satisfy him for the time being. Packing a few scarce belongings for the day, he bid his mother adieu and set off to discover all that he could.

And as he trekked deeper into the unknown, perhaps he secretly wanted to get lost. The wanting, the longing to see the wonders of the world... in his daydreams, Mavir slipped from a ledge and tumbled head-over-heels into a large, fast-moving river. The waters enveloped his form as they whisked him off to new lands, and in the cool freshness of the current, Mavir allowed himself to be lost in the beautiful, savage world that awaited him.

When he awoke, Mavir found himself on an unfamiliar shore. The ground was sandy, but dotted with softly glowing, magenta crystals. A few paces away from him, a tall, craggy cliff jutted out, towering over everything. It, too, was adorned by similar crystals. It all seemed familiar to Mavir; he had certainly never been here before, but he was sure he had seen this kind of landscape before, perhaps in a book.

The wildclaw stood up, and began scouting out the area. Soon, he came upon an odd sight; a gathering of tents of various sizes, shapes and colors, all set up near the cliff. Makeshift paths surrounded them, and a tall bonfire burned with an enchanted pink fire in something of a central gathering space.

Curious, Mavir approached the strange camp. He was greeted by a brown and pink pearlcatcher, dressed in Arcane garments.

It was then that Mavir finally realized he was in Arcane territory.

The pearlcatcher, Rose, was the friendly sort. He informed Mavir that the wildclaw had just arrived in Roreville, a clan traveling around Arcane territory. He introduced himself as one of the founders of Roreville, and invited Mavir to stay a while, pointing him in the direction of the Sol, the clan's only inn.

Mavir spent a few days in Roreville; life was humble there, but most of the residents were kind and approachable. Solana, the inn's owner, was especially helpful, taking an evening off to show Mavir around and even introduce him to the clan's leader, Gregg. However, as the days went by, and Mavir did not have much to do or any more places to visit, he began to grow restless again. Thus, one day, he packed up and set off on his journey once more...

Mavir ended up in wind territory. In his opinion, the zephyr steppes were beautiful, but very windy. He could hardly walk for all the wind. How the wind dragons dealt with it daily, he had no idea. And then he saw it. A giant forest that sprawled across the steppes. At the very least, he figured it would provide some shelter from the wind. As he entered the forest, he felt the unmistakable feeling of powerful magic nearby. Figuring that perhaps there was a clan at the source, he walked towards it. But at the center of the magic, there was nothing. Just a large clearing in the trees. The perfect spot to build a clan. And then all of a sudden, there was a female skydancer standing in front of him. She invited him into her clan. The way she said it was overly formal, but as soon as he was invited in, he could see everything.

The Lost Realm sprawled around him, and at the very center, a giant stump adorned with colorful lanterns. All around it were other buildings, most made out of bark and wood. All lit with magic lanterns. The sight was chaotic, and it was beautiful, and it took his breath away. He followed the dragon -she introduced herself to be Pumpkin, one of the three reigning matriarchs- to the Traveler's Rest, the small inn run by a female guardian named Bramble. Bramble showed him to his room -it was free- and he gratefully collapsed on the bed.

About half an hour later, Bramble showed him the mess hall, a fallen tree adorned with lanterns, hollowed out on the inside to reveal a large room that could fit the entire clan at once. The tables were placed chaotically, no rhyme or reason to it, and each table was different; they had all been carved by the same hand, but no two were identical. They were all unique.

After eating his fill, he was given the tour of the clan by an over-eager coatl who introduced himself as Herald. The coatl was nice enough, but he droned on and on about the clan's history, and didn't even notice when Mavir slipped away. The clan was nice, and Mavir was happy staying there, but soon enough, he felt the call of adventure and set off once more.

Mavir soon found himself back in the Sunbeam Ruins, but this place was so different from his home. He had wandered into a massive metropolitan city. Large farms surrounded the city, but the inside was packed full of buildings and dragons. There were caravans with carts full of goods, merchant's stalls, restaurants, everything a dragon could imagine. Dragons were on the ground and flying through the sky. There were also lots of dragons standing on rooftops and looking on the city from above. Most of them had weapons or magic tomes strapped to their sides. Mavir made a note not to tangle with those dragons.

He wandered through the streets for a while, not really sure where he was or where he was going. The city was so big; he didn't know how anyone could make sense of where they were. He ended up wandering into a large marketplace. Artisans of all types had stalls set up in the marketplace. He saw fortunetelling, potions, jewelry, flowers, and so much more. He was inexplicably drawn to the flower stand.

A very bright and friendly coatl owned the stand. She introduced herself as Dazey and handed Mavir a large lily. Mavir was flustered by her. She was so nice and kind and had such a lovely smile. He mentioned to her that he had just arrived in the city and had no where to stay. Dazey happily offered for him to stay in her home, but in return, he would have to work at her flower stand during the duration of his stay in the city, Lightweaver's Shadow. Mavir accepted Dazey's offer and immediately went to work at the stand. He organized the flowers, watered them and even helped to unload flowers from her supplier.

Mavir fell in love with Dazey. She was beautiful and fun and bubbly. She was exciting to be around and a delight to work with. After much nagging on Mavir's part, Dazey agreed to lay a nest with him. They laid two eggs. Mavir was so excited to have a family. Two gorgeous children would soon be his. Dazey promised she would keep the children in the city and raise them to be florists like her. She understood that Mavir would have to leave, but promised to write him letters and keep him informed on the children as they grew up.

While in the city, Mavir helped Dazey to put together floral arrangements for a wedding. The wedding was beautiful. The arrangements were primarily daises and marigolds, but they had added other smaller flowers. It was quite beautiful. The whole ceremony was beautiful. It made Mavir long for a life like that, but he still wanted to travel. He needed a mate who would travel with him and Dazey was not the kind to travel.

Mavir and Dazey's nest hatched. They had the two most beautiful children ever. The first hatched was a coatl and the second was a wildclaw. They were so incredible and gorgeous. Mavir was so happy to have two amazing sons, but he knew he would have to leave. His wanderlust dragged him away from his family and onward to his next adventure.
