Biography
Robberfly's direct subordinate in the Invectors' warrior division, serving as a combat medic and advisor. The most skilled magic-user in the army. Quiet and secretive, but reliable. Her ultimate goals are stability and security, and she intends to build the Invectors up into an organization that can provide her with both.
She eventually convinced Edge to warm up to her by proving herself reliable and hanging around him constantly, which makes her his best friend. While he envies her magical prowess, he trusts her--enough that he approached her to figure out why he can't use magic. Calypter couldn't determine that, but believes his amnesia is due to originally being a tundra, and he may have become a fae in an attempt to overcome his lack of magic. Her relationship with Edge was shaken when she defended Glyph and Wiltmint from his harassment and took Wiltmint on as her apprentice. She's working on rebuilding their friendship. It helps that she's the only mage he trusts to treat his injuries from Aggar and keep quiet about it, but few dragons can hold a grudge like Edge.
Frequently disagrees with Spurt over their conflicting interpretations of Plague ideals. Calypter is more pragmatic than dogmatic and does things like actually heal people in the interest of keeping the group strong. She does her best to deescalate her arguments with Spurt while sticking to her guns, but it often comes to the point where she has to pull rank, which Spurt resents.

While on the run from a mysterious foe, Calypter came across a group of half-dead foreigners and made the incomprehensible decision to nurse them back to health. When Robberfly, Edge, and Lycogale returned to camp, they found a stranger investigating their sick clanmates and nearly killed her. Calypter was able to fend them off with a powerful display of magic long enough for her to explain that she wanted to join them. Edge hated her immediately, but he and Robberfly saw the benefits of having a healer around and allowed her to stay until Aggar was well enough to officially approve or disapprove of her. In an uncharacteristic display of gratitude, Aggar not only accepted her into the Invectors but granted her an officer's position as well, despite the fact that she'd witnessed him at his weakest. She eventually convinced Edge to warm up to her by proving herself reliable and hanging around him constantly, which makes her his best friend.
