Biography
Unofficial assistant to Vectorlord Aggar and his seconds.
Dragons don't usually remember their hatching. Lyco doesn't, really, but he is certain about two things: when he hatched, his parents liked each other, and the big gray dragon he now knows as his parents' boss Aggar hated him on sight.
Robberfly and Edge each wanted to provide well for their son, and to prove themselves a better parent than the other. As the only child of the second-most-powerful dragons in the growing army, Lyco was spoiled rotten. His mother saw to it that he got the most intensive training from the moment he could run--no child of hers would fall prey to their enemies on her watch. His father, not to be outdone, furtively ensured he got second pick of any spoils, after Aggar, of course. Lycogale grew up a skilled fighter with everything his parents never had, outfitted with the best equipment possible, supported by his fellow soldiers, terrified of Aggar, and perpetually caught between the squabbling second-in-commands of the army.
When he was young, he tried to mediate between his parents and de-escalate their frequent arguments. It never worked. Neither did taking sides. It was more stressful than going into actual battles. He became incredibly conflict-avoidant and a complete doormat as a result. He's a fierce soldier, but you can walk all over him outside of combat. Aggar takes advantage of this shamelessly and treats him as a glorified servant.
Vista, who's been around the longest and is also frequently stuck between Robberfly and Edge, has become something like an aunt to him. When the drama of high command gets to be too much, her calm, assured presence always comforts him.
Molo has figured out that he's a huge softy and times her scavenging runs for when Lyco's on sentry duty.
