Biography
Carrion Love Deity «Love is like a flower. You have to let it grow.» |
|
Love was such a beautiful thing. It fills one's chest with joy and happiness, it gives one something to look forward to every morning, it makes life worth living. But, it also hurts more than anything else. The velvety soft petals and vines that fill one's lungs are far from gentle, but it is better to love and suffer than to never love at all. Love was what mattered most to Carrion, and keeping her loved one's safe from the knowledge of what was happening. It all started the day Carrion first met Woad, the deity of death and decay. Woad was the most beautiful deity she'd ever set her eyes upon. She was quiet, and did not speak much, yet what little she did speak was always full of wisdom and patience. Her hair was long and blue, and the mask that covered her face invoked such curiosity in the brunette! But, alas, it was shortly after this meeting that the first petal came. A pink azalea petal. Carrion had found the petal on her tongue upon waking up, and had thought nothing of it. She went about her day after that, taking up her duties of taking care of Peaches, feeding her, giving her daily lesson and whatnot, and for the next few days, everything was fine... until she saw Woad again. Then, after that, and from every meeting afterwards, the petals grew more frequent and often. It would just be one or two petals at first, until it became three, then four, then five, then whole flowers... Carrion's time was growing short, and she was aware of this, but... the only way out was surgery. Surgery that would remove her love, her very reason for existence, and for her, that was a fate worse than death. The mere thought of losing her beloved Woad was far too painful. So, the petals were disposed of, and kept secret from Woad and Peaches, and the constant coughing was passed off as mere illness. Although the petals were beautiful, it's so hard to breathe, and she isn't ready to give up just yet. |

Hopeless, lonely sunsets as you heave in pain, desperately burying flower petals from the loves of your life; when you're with them, you're radiant with the certainty of love; not one moment is lost, you're so grateful for the pure bliss they bring; emotions push and pull at you, like tides on your heartstrings; your world orbits around them, your love, your daughter, and suddenly you're hit with the knowledge of what it means to give someone everything you have, even your life; a bloom of azalea flowers spill from your throat, turning dried and dirtied with flecks of blood in the meadow; you watch a vulture circle once, twice... it never lands, though you find yourself hoping it will; perhaps in death there is joy, death claiming you, death cradling you the way you wish you could hold Woad..
