Uh-oh, looks like this bright landscaper-brewer wandered a little too far from their home lair (452562, Hyzenthlaay), and now they’re off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, we'd really appreciate it if you could just return them to their original home via the Crossroads, the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread here, or this rest hub, if you don’t want another traveler in return from the thread. You can also adopt them permanently if you don’t want them leaving your lair - just contact hyzenthlaay and let her know (it’s good for her notes)! Many people have worked very hard on this traveling dragon, and exalting them would be an absolute shame. Please don’t do it. Temenos was ushered away from his home lair at an incredibly young age under the guidance of his mother, who urged her father to take them as far away from her parents' religious grasp as he could be taken. His father listened but was quick to abandon Temenos and his three siblings as soon as they could reasonably raise one another, shirking his responsibilities when the opportunity arose. Thus Temenos and his siblings were left to travel the circuits of Sornieth, where each eventually went their separate ways. Temenos was the only one to not leave - and thus, he was the last one left behind. Yet, a peculiar talent arose in him, even without the proper schooling or equipment. Temenos was incredibly magically-adept, particularly in creating brews. He had once managed to fish a cauldron out of a nearby clan's dump during one of his sibling's excursions through the maze of trash, where they found most of their belongings in their youth, and it has stuck with him ever since. His specialty is in landscape magic - when one of his concoctions is smeared on the ground, it physically alters it. He makes his living taking commissions to "build" paradises at home in the buyer's wildest dreams - from indoor lava waterfalls that waft silver-moon butterflies, to clouds that cling to the floor below. Rainbow Waters
After a couple of uneventful clan visits, Temenos was walking along the Sea of a Thousand Currents when he spotted a patch of water that danced with rainbows. Curious, he swam out to it, and a large Imperial burst out of the water. Temenos screeched and tried to swim away, but he wasn't a great swimmer and started to sink. He was immediately scooped up by a pair of large Imperial paws and was inspected. "Why is a hatchling swimming in my waters? Where are your parents?" "I don't have parents!" Tenemos replied defiantly "I raised myself! I don't need an adult. I have my own business even!" Izar the Imperial was still very concerned despite the hatchling's claims. "Well... why don't you stay with our clan for a little bit. Hone your craft and learn a little self-defense from our Night Warriors." Tenemos relented and agreed to stay for a little while. It turns out he loved this clan. There were always rainbows in the lair and there so many caves and tunnels and hidden alcoves to explore. One day he was exploring deep in the caves, farther than any dragon had gone before, and he stumbled into a place that was perfect to make a water garden. There was natural light, lots of space, and a beautiful pool in the center. He set to work immediately; creating his concoctions. Turning the surface of the rocks into grass, and vines, and waterfalls was easy. The coral garden in the pool, however, was difficult. His usual concoctions wouldn't stick to surfaces underwater and sometimes they'd dissolve. It took him many tries to create the perfect mix, and the results were beautiful. No coral had ever been so large, so vibrant, so beautiful. The cave was a secluded paradise, a boon for the clan he had come to love. It was not long before Temenos had discovered that he was in the wind region, he had a little trouble to find a resting spot for his wings because everywhere he went to rest he found that it was so windy for his hatchling size. The with an hour in the region he saw a sight of hot air balloons going to and from a forest of bamboo and thought that could be a clan there, with decent resting place. So he stuggled the way there, only to be surounded by scouts and scared for his life he curled up, knowing that he can't defend himself. Then hearing the dragon mentioned their male alpha, he looked up as he felt being picked up gently by the sruff and saw while discovering that he was being carried by the alpha, not knowing that he had something in common with the alpha male. when the party of dragon arrived to the clan lair, the alpa male part way from the scouts and brought him to the hatchary with the orders of training the young traveler of flying in stong winds and to teach him self defence. When Temenos grew up into an adult he was able to explore the clan while he trained to get used to the wind, he find out that the clan was a interesting one and he enjoied his time there watching other dragon showing off their skills and selling and trading interesting things to other visters. it was a long time before he noticed that he was staying for no personal reason and not wanting to be over welcomed, he quickly finished his flight training and thanked the alpas for what they have done for himself, wishing that he could return the favour someday.
