  A B O U T
Sparrowgrass, or Sparrow, is one of the youngest members of the Endeavor crew. Though they joined on fairly recently, they have been a quick study, learning to work the rigging from Killian.

She mostly uses her hind legs for climbing and swinging, but can flap her shorter, winglike forelimbs to help her balance. Her hind paws are strong enough to allow her to hang upside down, yet still dextrous enough to braid lengths of rope that range from the heavy rigging to medium-weight ropes for fishing nets to thin, fine strings.

She has an eye for pretty trinkets like shells, beads, and bits of sea glass, stringing them together and hanging them around her sleeping hammock. She also collects bells and other baubles to entertain her pet parrot, who often perches on or near her.

Sparrow gets along well with most members of the crew, though they spend quite a bit of time with Gull. The mirror appreciates that they are one of the few dragons who enjoy learning how her wilder dishes are prepared. They sometimes recognize the more outlandish tropical fruits from the jungles they grew up in, and excitedly offer Gull suggestions based on dishes from their childhood.

  H I S T O R Y
Sparrow was hatched and raised in the vine-tangled jungles of the Shrieking Wilds, where the undergrowth is so thick in some places that only small dragons can pass through easily. She learned to swing through the canopy, racing across branches and jumping between trees quicker than most dragons could run.

It wasn’t much of a leap for them to transition from branches to mast spars and vines to ropes when they were hired on by the Endeavor crew. Though they miss the sprawling rainforests of their birthplace, they love her life of adventure.

Her parrot is a welcome reminder of her old home. Though native to the Shrieking Wilds, the bird was found by Sparrow in one of the markets where the crew had been selling their wares. Unfortunately, he was removed from the Wilds too young to be safely released back into the jungle, but now lives a rather spoiled life as Sparrow’s companion.
