Zawati the Tidelord's Gift
I. As one of the Primal dragons hatched into the Empire, Zawati was treated as "The Tidelord's Gift". She was pampered by everyone, and no one could deny that their Empress was the perfect dragon to lead them all.Zawati herself knew she wanted to be a seer from the moment she hatched. She desired to train beneath the greats, but her shy demeanor stopped her somewhat. Her older sister Kiania always protected her from any harm that could ever befall her. As such, Zawati always loved Kiania and got along very well with her. II. When Zawati was finally able to train as a seer, it was no surprise she was a very strong one. Dragons came to her whenever they needed to see their future, but Zawati found it was quite hard to focus on all these dragons. She grew tired, and her shy personality didn't help. III. One day, she fled from her duties to hide out in one of the kelp forests. She hated the pressure on her shoulders, and just wanted to sleep for once. While there, she met Grigorii for the first time. He was testing out his new underwater-breathing powers. When he met her, he immediately knew she was his charge. Zawati didn't know exactly what that meant, but she felt very attracted to him. He was kind, attentive to her needs, and never pressured her with wanting to get a prophecy out of her. It didn't take long for her to fall in love with him, and she wanted to marry him almost immediately. After a few months of courting her, Grigorii went to Empress Aislinn and asked for Zawati's hand in marriage. Although Aislinn was originally against the idea, she couldn't help but admit that Grigorii was a good, supportive dragon, and allowed them to be married. |
