Biography

Faeatia
Entertainer and Teacher
extremely dramatic · talented · knowledgeable · kind of overwhelming

______________
Faeatia is LOUD. Not just in volume—although she is rather strident—but in every gesture and mood. She doesn’t just enter a room—she sweeps in, trailing flowers and streamers; when she’s distraught, she swoons, and when she’s joyful, she shrieks in glee. She speaks with her whole body, wings flaring, hands and tail gesticulating, often standing up on her back legs as she declaims. Most of the other dragons in the pack find her best in small doses.

Where her larger-than-life personality shines is as an entertainer. She sings well but is an even better storyteller, throwing herself into the narrative and the characters’ roles and wringing out every last drop of emotion. She’s even able to be quiet and restrained when the the story calls for it. Despite her always-in-the-spotlight diva nature, she has an unexpected gift for engaging the audience directly, drawing out their input and then improvising around it. Her acting range is broad, if not particularly subtle.

Faeatia is also the hatchlings’ primary teacher, which might seem like a recipe for chaos, but while her performances are exaggerated, her knowledge is exact. She has an extraordinarily precise memory and a good general education, mainly focused on history, flight and breed cultures, and literacy, but also including basic math and beginning principles of arcane magic, and she can call upon other members of the pack as needed to fill in any gaps. Best of all, the children are never, ever bored.

Poltergeist Piano Voguepuff Glorious Dayjar

» One would think that Faeatia’s personality would completely overwhelm that of her mate, Lotus, but he actually has a calming effect on her. He’s the only one who can reliably get her to simmer down.

» Even for a mirror, Faeatia is a very poor flier. She mostly uses her wings for assistance when jumping (and for dramatic effect, of course).

» Her poltergeist piano is a menace.
