♦ Afanen: Tamelain met Afanen when the latter tried to
fleece her out of all her coin in a seedy tavern. Their love affair of
witty flirtation and knifepoint went on for several years before
they learned one anothers' true identities. In spite of how the truth
has transformed their relationship, at its heart it remains the same.
♦ Mercurhad: Tamelain admires her adopted mother
deeply. They have struggled in their relationship, particularly as
their similar rash streaks complement one another poorly; neither has
much impulse control and they encourage each other terribly, but
Mercurhad does makeattempts to curb them both, to the displeasure of
both parties. Even so, they love each other very much. Mercurhad does
her best to help herdaughter accept her responsibilities in the same way
that she once had to.
♦ Thiannion: Tamelain's relationship with Thiannon can
be awkward and distant at times. They don't understand each other
well, and are often in conflict about Tamelain's recklessness,
adventurousness and impulsivity. But despite this, they have had their
bonding moments,and Tamelain loves Thiannon as kin.
♦ Gwenry: Gwenry was half a parent to Tamelain as well,
even if she doesn't claim the title. They are very close, and Gwenry is
often able to provide more practical and understanding guidance than
either Mercurhad or Thiannon.
