- Clan Amarymyo was once a clan who, against the odds, was home to a wide variety of Effluvial Crows and their variants. Damianus, an Albino Lesser Crow were such members of Clan Amarymyo, living a relatively peaceful life there for some time.
- Dami, despite his heritage, didn't exhibit some of the usual traits of Albino Lesser Crows. He still had the pheromone-manipulation, which he did occasionally use, but he didn't exhibit the self-serving or violent tendencies that many Lesser Albinos usually had (likely one of the reasons he can so peacefully live within Clan Amarymyo). He still preferred to keep to himself, not for any malicious reasons but rather he simply had no interest in the majority of the rest of the clan, save for his single friend, the Lesser Crow Meirwin. He much preferred to tinker with various things, from random weapons to moving contraptions, than join the clan in their battles; such tendencies made some members of the clan look down on him, seeing his disinterest in fighting as a sign of weakness. Even so, he was generally left alone, besides occasional snide remarks from some of the Greater Effluvials.
- Dami and Meir originally met when Meir took notice of some of Dami's contraptions after first arriving to Clan Amarymyo and became curious. When Meir eventually asked Dami about them, Dami was more than happy to explain his contraptions to Meir, along with complaining about lacking some materials for another he wished to construct. Meir, while out on his patrol afterwards, managed to gather the materials Dami needed and gave them to him, much to Dami's surprise and delight. The two thus became fast friends, with Meir delivering materials to Dami whenever he managed to grab something interesting, and Dami constructing little contraptions for Meir's den.
- Dami and Meir lived surprisingly peaceful lives for a period while in the clan, considering it housed the vain Greater Effluvials who, in almost any other situation, would've likely taken both crows' wings. However, such concerns began to emerge when members of the clan started to become restless, no thanks to the seemingly fraying bonds of the heads of the clan. Meir, beginning to worry for his wings - or even his life - suggested leaving the clan to Dami. However, Dami didn't want to leave the relative stability he had found within the clan, so the two bid farewell and Meir left on his own.
- Unfortunately for Dami, the situation within the clan just became worse over time, and eventually his Effluvial clanmates began to harass him rather than ignore him. He wanted to remain within the clan and continue to construct things. However, when some of the Effluvials directly threatened to take his wings, he made the difficult decision to flee the clan during the night, leaving everything save for a few tools he could manage to carry.
- At first, he wandered the Wasteland aimlessly, but the frequent lack of necessary resources for survival and the run-ins with former clanmates bent on hunting him down meant Dami needed to find a better solution, and soon. What he opted for, though, has just as risky as wandering: finding refuge within the abyss which exists in the middle of the Abiding Boneyard. He had heard of some of his other former clanmates - ones who had fled Clan Amarymyo earlier than him or even Meir - fleeing there since the ABYSSHIVE, Amarymyo's primary enemy, resides somewhere in there, and the Clan is not inclined to try and follow after them. So, like many of those before him, he dove into the abyss.
- He traveled through various environments contained within the first couple levels - the straight-drop following the entrance, the vast collection of caverns and pathways below that, the smoldering barrens which follow that - until he came to a lush area, a vast forest which both spread across the cavern floors and grow up its walls, softly lit above by clusters of luminous crystals and dotted with scattered ponds. There he remained for a while, hunting the critters and rather large bugs which inhabited the cavern for food and making a shelter within the tops of a cluster of trees.
- However, Dami soon discovered other regular dragons also resided here, when he had an encounter with Perasil, one of the scientists of the Avivoryss Laboritory. Both were initially startled by discovering each other, but after calming down Perasil brought Dami back to the A.L.
- He originally just stayed as a guest as the heads of the laboratory discussed what to do with him. However, he eventually ran into the programmer Auiniona and mechanic Egerton, and became extremely interested in their projects with A.L.
- Macrae, one of the heads, took note of his intense interest in their work, along with his habit of constructing various simple robots with Auini's help. After discussing it with the other head Leoster, she offered Dami a chance to study robotics in the lab, and in return he assists the lab in their studies of the abyss which they reside in, which Dami enthusiastically accepted.

Damianus was once a member of Clan Amarymyo, a clan of Effluvial Crow variants of all kinds. However, over time, the leaders - who once stood as examples of alliance for the rest of the clan - started to fight amongst each other more and more. Their increasing lack of cooperation began to reflect in the rest of the crows as well, and Dami - being a Lesser Albino - began to feel more and more unsafe. When a couple of the Effluvials threatened to take his wings, he fled as fast as he could.
Dami fled into the one place that he knew none of the clan members would try and chase him into, the place where their archenemy - the ABYSSHIVE - dwelled deep within: the abyss. He flew as far down as he could manage, until he found himself within a lush cavern with plenty of food. There, he lived for a little bit, until one of the scientists from A.L. noticed him and brought him in.
Initially, he simply resided as a temporary resident, but when he was directed to the library that the A.L. had, he found a fascination in robotics. He read up on it as much as he could, and even attempted to start building little robots, to mixed success. Macrae, one of the higher-ranked scientists of A.L., took notice of Damianus's interest, and after consulting with head scientist Leoster, she offered to find further resources for Damianus to continue his studying, to which he gleefully agreed.
While he was studying robotics within A.L.. Damianus discovered one of his Lesser Crow clanmates, ___, had fled here as well, though he wasn't as lucky as Dami. ___'s wings had been torn off, most likely by Effluvial ex-clanmates, considering how much of a prize Lesser Crow wings are to them. Seeing ___ in such a terrible state, Dami convinced A.L. to bring him in for treatment.
