Most Guardian dragons are charged to watch over dragons or treasure. She was different.

Born during one of the worst maelstroms in history to an open-hearted wind flight mother and fugitive lightning flight father, she had always felt different from her fellow Guardians. It was only when she came of age and left the Windswept Plateau for the first time that she stumbled upon a Fae hive. There were thousands of Fae, but her bright green eyes caught one Fae’s matching set. He was a forager, one of the Fae who gathered insects for the hive, as well as plants for visiting breeds. His name was Copperwing.
The two became friends once they realized how much they had in common. Copperwing was also getting ready to leave his busy nest and start anew, perhaps in the lush Viridian Labyrinth. Stormherald convinced him to come with her and look for a smaller clan that they could join together.

After some time travelling across all of Sornieth with little luck, Stormherald and Copperwing’s friendship grew into something more. Neither had ever been in love before, so it took them a while to realize their feelings. When they had finally confessed their mutual infatuation, they stopped migrating and settled down in the Reedcleft Ascent, near the border with the Abiding Boneyard of Plague.
The pair mated not long after and had Veridi, their first child. Many more followed, with some choosing to serve the Windsinger early in life. As her family grew, Stormherald felt a pull towards it like nothing she’d ever experienced. She realised it was her Charge calling to her: she was the protector of her clan and would be for as long as she lived.
Now, Stormherald is a firm and wise leader, and she does not hesitate to lead her most trusted friends and allies into battle against the rogue creatures and Beastclans that inhabit Sornieth. When she retires, the leadership of the clan will pass to her eldest, Veridi.
