Originally from a rainforests where Ancients used to walk, Danse was taken away when he was in an egg by the Clan of Red Roses, to be displayed and taken as a pet for his bright plumage. He lived in their palace, but while pampered, was miserable within their confines. So with Karwyn, a servant also from the very same rainforest, escaped their palace. They took refuge within Oasis Inn, Akehu not willing to use them as sacrifices for their plumage was too reminiscent of ancients that walked before them. Though, Akehu did ask for all of their hatchlings, bar one, to him. While the Red Roses are still hunting the pair down, Akehu knows they'll be sheltered here, even letting them both show their feathers freely. Now Danse works peacefully as a servant and housekeeper within the Inn with Karwyn, stumbling around and cleaning rooms, ignorant of the underlying conflicts.

RELATIONSHIPS

After many secret midnight meetings between Danse in his cage and Karwyn, the latter was the one who suggested they flee together, knowing they possibly couldn't be together within the palace. For this promise, they gave each other a matching piece of garnet jewelry; Danse's is a wing drape.

Knowing Daerce sometimes gets sick of doing nothing within the inn, Danse sometimes asks for her help with cleaning rooms or cooking a dish. Daerce replies with a toothy grin and eagerly assists the Fae with anything, even when she sometimes makes his job slightly harder.
