The only son of two servants at Godsents Inn, Rowan's world as a child was limited to the worn, aged walls of their workplace and the company of godly dragons centuries older than him. And while his parents did his best to raise the young hatchling, they both realized he couldn't be so regularly surrounded by the magic of gods without Rowan being put in regular danger. So with a begrudging heart, they sent him to a boarding school at Arcana Central, hoping to get him to forget of the godly magic that haunted his childhood home. But unfortunately for them, Rowan did not. School only furthered his interest in the shunned topic at Arcana as he found a way to somehow latch himself further to the magic that seemingly called for him; by joining the Archivists, a group seeking to solve the mysteries behind magic. And after months of research, Rowan departed with his friend Estrellos to explore Escollo to uncover whatever mysteries haunt their town as well.

One of the only other dragons in Arcana Central who still believes in gods, Rowan has made sure to stay near Estrellos. And while they have countless arguments over whatever mythos, they still share a respectful, yet distant relationship.

Shatter is one of the only locals willing to give any information about the troubles of his hometown; only with a price though. Not with the traditional cost of gold though, but odd little tasks he assigns Rowan and his friend, odd little tasks that mostly benefit the community in some way.
