tsukihyakushi's origins remain unknown til now. he has the body of an immortal youth and appears as if he were an omniscient, heavenly being. he says little about his past, having vague, almost incomplete impressions of them. anybody has yet to figure out whether it stands as the truth or not.

he works as tori's assisant and is a frequent victim of the latter's tricks. knowledgeable he may appear to be, but tsukihyakushi is, quite frankly, near-illiterate. he takes his position of tori's assistant at the library as a chance to build on his vocabulary. he knows plenty of subjects, but has no words to transcribe them. despite not having the best of literacy, he still enjoys reading a wide assortment of books. his favorite books are historical records and mythology.

tsukihyakushi's eyes look bleak; soulless, almost. contrary to that, he always has a faint smile on his lips. he is never seen without a smile and will applaud even the smallest of things; either he is a simpleton or simply just entertaining the other. nobody has ever seen him get angered, or caught in a state of turmoil. he often gets 'bullied' passively by tori through shiritori, but he claims it is a good way for him to strengthen his vocabulary. he puts up quite a tolerant front for others.

his eyes, a glaring cyan, have been observed to softly glow when in darkness. he knows that tori and tora are speculating and uncovering his suspicious origins behind his back, but says nothing about it. having shown talents in art, he has been put in charge of illustrating this clan's dragon wishlist by tori. tsukihyakushi also loves to receive dried and pressed flowers.
