The brute of the clan, a woman who fought her way to the top of the clan by pure strength alone, Helios has never stopped moving. An unshakeable force with a strict set of morals, she overtook her father and placed herself head of the clan, bestowing her sister with the honor of head sorceress. Painfully intelligent, she stays true to her word and is fair and just to the clan. She eagerly awaits the day where one of her children will be strong enough to challenge her for clan head. She quickly formed a connection with the successor of the oracle, Orpheus, developing an intimate relationship with the kindhearted man. She took him as her mate and the secondary leader of the clan. She and her sister, Andromeda, have always butted heads. Differing ideals ripped them apart from the moment Helios took over the head of the clan. With her stubborn nature and aggressive demeanor, she and her sister became strained. Helios does her best to shield her sister nonetheless, batting off concerns from her fellow tribe members about Andromeda’s increasingly concerning behaviors. Helios was distraught over her sister’s sudden decline, the near-destruction of the water bearer that the clan has used for generations practically ripping her in two. With her hand forced and a heavy heart, she exiled Andromeda. With little faith in her heart, she pleaded with the Lightweaver to give her just some instructions, a guiding light. With no response, Helios took her position up again, reinstating her rule of the clan. She and Orpheus held the clan under a tight grip, keeping a much more watchful eye on the goblet, picking the most trustworthy members for the sacred journey. Helios resolved to never allow another tragedy to befall the clan. When the Lightweaver finally began to bless the clan with their voice again, bringing light back to where the darkness was slowly beginning to encroach. Allowing the entrance of Donna and Obsidian under the laws of their clan, Helios remained unaware of the true nature of Obsidian, a spy for Andromeda. Helios became blood-sisters with the soft-hearted Donna, allowing her into a position reserved for few. The clan was caught in the sudden collapse of the steep cliff that they called home, tumbling into the Tidelord’s icy domain against their will. Forced to flee, Orpheus and Helios rounded up as many as they could before fleeing to the outskirts of the Windswept Plateau as Andromeda severed the connection between Orpheus and the Lightweaver permanently. Left to lick their wounds, the survivors await the day to where they can reclaim their rightful place in the clan. |
