"Everything is strange." Bleak had told young Felix as they wandered through the empty Wastelands, Felix all but quietly trotting alongside his guardian. "You be careful out there, runt. You don't let anyone in, you hear me? Don't trust anybody. Don't care for anybody. It will hurt worse than feel good." Bleak said while looking at the small spiral-coatl hybrid, who had sat in the dirt with a quiet whine. "You tell me this stuff all the time!" Felix argued, looking to the mirror with a pout "But you're just an old grouch. And I'm tired! I don't want to walk anymore!" He whined, Bleak rolling his eyes with an exasperated sigh as he turned to approach the child "You can't just cry every time you're tired. I won't always be around to keep you safe, brat." He started, staring down at the kid who continued to pout. He wasn't going to budge. Bleak grumbling about the kid being 'a pain he should have left to starve' as he scooped the kid up onto his back and continued to walk, Felix all but curling onto the mirror's back with an accomplished smile on his face. "I know you're grinning back there. Next time I'm leaving you in the dirt, I swear it, Felix." Bleak had grumbled, his tail swishing in irritation, more so as the kid spoke up "You said that the last time, too. It's never gonna happen!" Felix laughed out as he stretch over the mirror's back, head resting against his neck. "I love you, Bleak." Felix quietly said, getting a grunt of reply from the mirror, who eventually let out a quiet "Love you too, brat." as they continued through the wastes to find somewhere to rest.

Felix grew up in a secluded area of the Wastelands, thought to be far away and safe from anyone who would dare destroy their peace. Felix grew up with his older brother, Ezra, as his biggest means of entertainment. Felix was the youngest in their small group, with his brother and some of his brother's friends as the next, then Felix and Ezra's parents followed by parents of the others. Felix and Ezra's mom and dad were a spiral and coatl, respectively, and having their two sons who are a mix of the dragon species. They weren't a large group- about 20 in total, enough to all work together to keep each other alive. That is until the colony discovered where their group was hiding... It was all quick- attacks, raids, fire. It happened too fast for most of them to react. Ezra told Felix to run, hide, avoid getting caught. Felix had done so, escaping with a few injuries, as he ventured into the Wastelands alone as nothing but a child. He wasn't alone for long- running into a mirror who traveled alone and sold food or supplies to small groups of people in need. Bleak hadn't expected to run into Felix- small, hurt, starving... Part of Bleak wanted to ignore him. Let nature take its course and not get attatched to the runt. But the crying... It was too much for the soft hearted mirror. Bleak took Felix in, nursed him back to health, and proceeded to raise him to a young adult. Felix loved Bleak like his own dad, but when he got older, the urge to hunt down the colony and try to make them pay for his family was strong. Bleak always barked at him that revenge was stupid, and partly suicidal for wanting to take on the Colony, but Felix had too much hurt in him from witnessing the slaughter of his family. Felix parted ways with Bleak, having gone on his own and finding lone Colony members to interrogate- one of which was.. Different. Long hair, but the markings added up to him being in the Colony. One scuffle later and Felix getting easily held down by this other got him information he wished he had known before trying to get the jump on the guy- his name was Zach, he had escaped the Colony, and had created his own group to fight against the Colony. Felix had a taste of what's known as love at first sight for the guy- which only grew into a deeper and more stable love as Zach allowed Felix into their group, and they took care of him, Zach... Being a funny and kind person despite acting otherwise. Felix had found a new family, which helped the hurt from the loss of his childhood, but their fight had only just begun against the Colony... There was much more work to be done to wipe them off the map. |

| Later events of being in Zach's settlement had brought Ezra back to Felix- though it was nothing easy. Much of Ezra's mind had been taken from him, barely reflecting the brother Felix had once known. A murderer, a monster... It was partial luck and the familiarity of being around his brother that managed to snap Ezra out of his bloodthirst. Nowadays, Felix treads carefully around his own brother, but still trying to help him become comfortable back in regular life, one where he isn't made to kill and hunt in the name of the Colony. While assisting his brother, Felix also assists Zach with growing their group in strength- and himself. With more being knocked down by Zach in training, Felix hopes to become someone strong enough to protect his new family, and avoid the fate that became of his childhood family that kept him fueled with revenge- Felix is now fueled instead by the desire to keep the ones he loves safe. |
